1 International Conference on Scenario of Biotechnology in 21st Century (under Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the School of Biotechnology) to be held on March 10-12, 2016 at Indore, India An International Conference entitled Scenario of Biotechnology in 21 st Century has been planned to be held from March 10-12, 2016 at the School of Biotechnology, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, India. It is being organized as part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the School of Biotechnology. This School was established in this University in With the support of all the stake holders, this School has earned a name at the Global level. Through this circular, the present staff and students invite to all interested persons especially Alumni to join us on the occasion of this mega event. Alumni will also have chance to interact with their old friends, classmates. The conference will feature original, refereed papers and will be published in the conference proceedings. 2 URL: Scope and areas to be covered During the Conference, discussions will be made on the scenario of Biotechnology in the 21 st Century and it will cover wide range of developments in agriculture, medicine, pharmacology, tissue culture, stem cell biology, Bio-energy and Environment etc. It holds considerable promises to meet challenges required for betterment of life. New approaches in biotechnology have provided robust technologies in the field of molecular diagnostics and immunology. Next Generation Sequencing, genetically modified crops, diseased resistant crops, human embryonic stem cell, transplants are some of the cutting edge developments in this field. Also bioinformatics is a collateral branch which provides and verifies the hypothesis. The in silico studies contribute to the validation of proposed study. Molecular dynamics, structural bioinformatics and computer aided drug designing are some of the areas which are coming to complement wet lab experiments. Despite this, there are some challenges like environmental pollution, ethical use of animals in research, Intellectual property Rights (IPR), gene therapy and health care which needs deep digging in upcoming years. Objectives of the Program International Conference is being organized as part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the School of Biotechnology in this University. There will also be a separate get together for Alumni. The objective of the conference is to promote mutual interest, understanding, dialogue between researchers and experts in related areas. This will provide a common platform to share experiences and encourage collaborations to evaluate advanced technologies across the globe. Those who wish to book accommodation through us are advised to contact as soon as possible otherwise it may be difficult for us to arrange accommodation at the last moment. Accommodation: Accommodation charges ranges from US $500 to US $50 across various hotels in Indore, INDIA. All the hotels are at the distance of KM from the Airport and 5-15 KM from the Railway station/bus stand. For students, efforts will be done to accommodate them in university/ nearby guest houses/ hostels on reasonable charges.

Exhibition: Separate exhibition for Industries/ Business Establishments for displaying their products will be arranged at the venue of the event. Interesting organizations/ individuals can send their requirement for the Stall. Rates will be as per size and other amenity requirements. About Indore: Indore is the commercial capital and the largest city of central India (Madhya Pradesh). Indore is situated on the Malwa plateau at an altitude of 553 m above sea level. It is among the million+ population cities of India. Climate: During March, days are normally hot (30-35 o C). However, unlike other places in central India, the summer nights in Indore are pleasant.
