5 The idea of the exhibition is to present new technologies and equipment for scrap processing and handling, ELV recycling, new investment projects, the industry upgrade projects, and IT solutions. International Forum Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Scrap Metals in last 13 years became one of Europe's largest industry forums, and more than 30 countries from around the world visit this forum every year. In 2017 year, as a Year of Ecology in Russia, magnitude and subject matter of the conference will grow because of tendency of business process integration in sphere of processing secondary resources.

Scrap processing industry is extremely important for the development of metallurgical and machine-building complex of Russia. No one ton of steel can not be manufacture without the use of scrap in the technological cycle of the plant. At this stage of development of the domestic steel industry is a growth electric steel production, which is associated with the presence of a significant difference in the price of finished product and the price of scrap. When using scrap metal there is a considerable saving not only the fresh raw materials, but about 75% of energy, which ultimately leads to reduction of carbon dioxide emission by 86%.
