After examining the school data, the LLT will target specific literacy issues and focus on strategies that support an effective teaching and learning climate. The major initiatives of the LLT this year include: promoting the circulation of media sources, a teacher/student June 18,

6 mentoring program which allows one-onone reading experiences using Readers of the Month to be school-wide guest readers, the implementation of Differentiated Instruction, Small Group professional development, and a designated Professional Library with scheduled open discussions.
