3 Aim of the Advanced Course Participate in a programme which has been specifically tailored to meet the current practice needs of surgeons and oncologists, and foster productive educational environment. Discuss special issues related to radical cytoreductive surgery and perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy. Review the surgical management of peritoneal metastasis with special reference to surgical technique, results, morbidity, and mortality. Discuss the concept and pharmacological basis of intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC and EPIC). Discuss multi-modal chemotherapeutic regimens and management of their toxicities. Discuss the impact of an organised and dedicated cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal chemotherapy approach on oncological outcomes. Review the current controversies in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis. The participation fee is 520 EUR (including VAT) for Members (minimum 1 year membership) and 620 EUR (including VAT) for nonmembers. The fee includes 2 nights accommodation (between October 30th and November 1st), registration to the course, welcome cocktail, coffee breaks, lunches, and dinner.
