1 PRESS RELEASE TVN S.A. 166 Wiertnicza Str Warsaw, Poland Tel Fax TVN LEADS THE MARKET IN SEPTEMBER 14 VIEWERSHIP STATISTICS SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF THE AUTUMN SCHEDULE & RECORD-BREAKING NUMBER OF VIEWS ONLINE Warsaw October 1st, 2014 TVN was the most watched TV channel in Poland in September The channel had the highest audience figures in 4+ category and in commercial target group (16 49), on all day basis as well as in Primetime. In September TVN also achieved success by delivering excellent online results. The users of Player.pl, TVN s VOD platform, generated a record number of 32.4 million views of program episodes. The total number of views contributed by Player.pl and the users of other TVN s entertainment online services reached nearly 50 million. A month after its launch, TVN s autumn schedule turned out the best television offering on the Polish market. The channel posted a 12.9% all day audience share in 4+ category, while for the commercial target group of year old viewers its market share totaled at 14.7% and 16.5% in large cities. In September the channel achieved better results compared to the first month of the spring season, when its respective shares reached 12.7% (A4+), 14.4% (A16-49) and 16.1% (A16-49, cities with 100k+ population). In Primetime (6 p.m. to p.m.) TVN reaffirmed its dominance with even higher respective shares in the above mentioned demographics at: 15.2% (A4+), 16.7% (A16-49) and 19.6% (A16-49, cities with 100k+ population). 2 Bogdan Czaja, Vice Director of Programming Department in TVN said: In line with our earlier declarations we combined in our autumn schedule TVN s flagship long-run formats with brand new programs. Their first month on air shows that we managed to do it with a great success. Our proven productions keep outperforming the competition, even when as Top Model facing new time slots. The new formats, in turn, are also winning over the audience, gradually building leadership positions in their own time slots. In October we hope to attract new viewers as we go forward, the competition gets more intense among the contestants of our shows, and we still have one more novelty in store Żony Hollywood scheduled to launch on October 19 th. Bogdan Czaja, Vice Director of Programming Department in TVN Player.pl and other TVN s entertainment online services saw excellent results in September as well. Their users generated a total number of nearly 50 million views of entertainment videos (episodes, fragments of TV shows, trailers, short videos). Player.pl achieved a recordhigh, historic number of 32.4 million viewed episodes. The news videos and videos embedded on x-news platform had 33 million views (source: GemiusStream). While the show is now in its seventh season, the judges and hosts were for the first time presented with an opportunity to use the Gold Buzzer to save an act by sending their favourite auditionee straight through to the live semifinals and bringing them nearer to the grand prize, i.e. PLN 300 thousand. The episode aired Saturday, September 27 th, attracted over 3.7 million viewers, which gave the program a 24.4% audience share in total viewers (4+ category). In commercial target group TVN s talent show had a share of 25.8%. Mam talent! was unrivaled in its individual time slot, eclipsing i.a. its immediate competitor, The Voice of Poland from TVP2, and enjoying more than twice as many viewers. MasterChef, the world s most popular culinary show, where amateur cooks compete to win the coveted MasterChef title, was watched by up to 2.8 million viewers. On the back of spectacular ratings the show, starring Magda Gessler, Anna Starmach and Michel Moran as judges, had a maximum share of 18.5% in 4+ category and 24.8% in commercial target group of year olds. In the latter group MasterChef dominated its time slot, outpacing Polsat s Must be the music, a musical talent competition contested by aspiring singers and musicians drawn from public audition. As competition and finalists selection accelerates and one episode will feature a special guest star, Gordon Ramsay, recognized as the most famous celebrity chef in the world, equally exciting upcoming episodes are in prospect. Magda Gessler s Kuchenne rewolucje also recorded excellent results in September with record-breaking monthly viewing figures at 2.3 million, representing a 16.7% audience share in total viewers and 22.8% in commercial target group (16-49). No other television program aired within the time slot enjoyed such enormous popularity with year olds, resulting in TVN s average audience share at 18.6%. 3 / 6

4 Also Top Model, airing Mondays at 9.30 p.m., performed very well in September 14. With Poland s first-ever cycle featuring male and female contestants together, the program had an audience of up to 2.5 million viewers, which contributed to 25.8% share in commercial target group (16 49) and 18.6% in 4+ category. Both in terms of ratings and audience shares it was the most watched TV program in this time slot. Kto poślubi mojego syna?, a successfully running reality show, aired internationally in thirteen countries saw the highest ratings among TVN s fall TV premieres. Airing Wednesday evenings the program showcases four bachelors and their matchmaking mothers looking for the best female romantic partners and fiancée candidates for their sons. The show had up to 2.5 million viewers with 21.9% audience share in commercial target group and 18.3% in total viewers. Taking into account the available programming offer, the program was most strongly preferred both by 4+ as well as audience. The second TVN s fall premiere Szkoła is a scripted docu series, featuring real life stories of junior high school and secondary school students, as well as their teachers. The program also dominated its time slot with an average share of 19.9% in commercial target group and 16.4% in 4+ category. Nearly equal ratings were posted by an episode of another brand new TVN s entertainment show - Mama kontra mama, presenting women from different backgrounds, following various lifestyles and parenting models. Alongside entertainment shows most TVN viewers traditionally chose to watch TV series. The leadership position in this category again belonged to Na Wspólnej whose audience totaled at even 2.8 million viewers (up to 17.9% audience share in 4+ category and 18.5% in commercial target group). Excellent viewing figures were also posted by Szpital (up to 2.5 million viewers), Lekarze (up to 2.3 million viewers), Prawo Agaty (up to 2.2 million viewers) and Ukryta prawda (up to 1.7 million viewers). In talk show category Kuba Wojewódzki performed best with an audience of up to 1.4 million viewers. TVN took number one position in the time slot. Fakty TVN and Dzień dobry TVN also dominated their respective time slots. TVN s evening newscast had an audience of up to 3.9 million viewers. In commercial target group of year olds the program had the highest average audience share (25.4%), coming ahead of Polsat s Wydarzenia (with its share at 19.9%) and Wiadomości on TVP1 (18.6%).
