7 We got 4.8 inches of rainfall in November, making it the second wettest month for Water temperature is 64 F and visibility is 48 inches. I looked at historic surface temperatures for Lake LU and I see where it was 58 F in 2014 and 53 F in It is definitely warmer and wetter.

8 Bass fishing is very good with vast numbers of bass in the sub 14 inch range being removed from the lake by anglers. There has been a reduction of large bass being caught by bass fishermen. We are currently at pounds of bass harvested per acre and I am strongly encouraging bass anglers to remove the small bass. I estimate that we will end 2015 with about 47 pounds of bass removed per acre. I went fishing one Monday last week with a companion and we had a great trip. We compiled the report below. Monday, November 30, 2015 Bass caught 57 fish for 22.5 pounds.

9 Time: 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. Anglers 2 Weather: Partly cloudy with winds mph. Winds were initially out of the southwest but shifted to south then south, southwest. Air temperature was 77 F with water surface temp at about 60 F. Notes: The primary lure used was Texas rigged, Zoom brand, watermelon red, U tail, plastic worms with 1/16 th bullet weights. The majority of bass were suspended on steep drop-offs in deep water. Bass were suspended about 2/3 of the way downslope. Some bass were caught around submerged trees but majority were on drop-offs. Ninety eight percent of the bass caught struck the lure on the drop. NO slot bass were caught. The bass ranged from 6 to 12 inches in length. ATTENTION: I need 590 bass caught before 2015 ends to reach my goal of 50 pounds of bass per acre harvested for 2015! There are only 6 fishing days left in December before we close for the Christmas Holidays! Let s get busy folks and come out to the lake and catch some bass!!

12 Bream fishing has all but stopped for the year.

15 Glad we anchored the new work pier off well enough so that it didn t float off.

16 We worked really hard one Friday and put some really big trees in the lake. We called ourselves the Tiger Timber Wranglers. Unfortunately, the beavers that live in the lake did not respect our efforts and they untied the trees and the trees floated off. Because of this, we got to work really hard another day trying to tug the trees back in place and tie them back to their anchors. This time we used steel cable. I d like to see those pesky beavers untie the tree this time! A couple of weeks prior to this, Jordan and I had worked hard one day pounding 14 foot long trees into the lake bottom to serve as anchor stakes. I think that on the

17 third day after we had driven the anchors into the lake, the beavers had pulled up all eleven stakes!!! I hate beavers.. In this picture, Jordan and I were calling an end to a long, tough day of timber wrangling.
