Its businesses were built and developed over several generations, with roots in traditional companies with more than 60 years of experience and the trust of its customers. Over the years, these companies have participated in significant changes in rail transport, and have often been the drivers of change, such as building modern rail sidings, or developing intermodal transport. Since 2010, these companies have grown together under the umbrella of AWT. Our strategy for 2012 to 2017 provides the AWT Group with a clear vision for further growth. As part of the strong international investment group BXR, AWT has the necessary support for its future development. AWT is gradually becoming a byword for solid and reliable rail transport services and logistics across Central and Eastern Europe. The AWT Group is one of the largest private providers of rail transport services in Europe. It provides comprehensive transport solutions primarily to large industrial concerns in Central and Eastern Europe, mainly transporting heavy goods such as coal, steel and automobile industry parts. Its key services include long-distance rail transport, rail forwarding, the operation and development of rail sidings, and intermodal transport. By applying extensive restoration projects, we return nature to the regions affected by mining and other industrial activities. And we strive to apply the sustainability principle in all our activities. Having approximately 2,000 employees, the AWT Group is among the biggest employers in the Czech Republic. Sixty years of experience make us a strong rail transport operator with extensive facilities and equipment for providing related services. We are one of the largest private rail transport providers in Europe. In the, we are the number one transport provider, with a market share of approximately 25%. We provide inter-state as well as international transport using entire train units as well as groups of freight wagons. We cooperate with transport providers in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia. Moreover, we operate our own locomotives in the, Slovakia and Hungary. We have a large fleet of locomotives and freight wagons of all types. Annually, we transport up to 11 million tonnes of goods. We operate approximately 400km of our own track. AWT has many years of experience in rail forwarding, provided through AWT Čechofracht, which in 2012 celebrates its 60th anniversary. We are the largest rail forwarding company in the. We do not rely solely on one transport provider, anywhere. We design and implement customised, comprehensive transport solutions (3PL solutions) for our customers. We utilise our own extensive fleet of freight wagons as well as free capacity on the market. We organise follow-up transport, including the creation of road-rail-road logistic chains and we offer a complete system of intermodal transport ACTS. We are the only forwarding company in the that guarantees delivery of freight wagons. AWT offers comprehensive services for rail sidings, including administration. When developing new rail siding operation projects, we cooperate closely with the customer and ensure that we understand all the technical and technological possibilities of the construction, the required service and level of administration. We own an extensive rail siding network, which includes almost 400km of rail track. In the Ostrava region we operate ten sidings with more than a thousand switches and throughout the we operate about 60 sidings. We can secure rail operation and transport services at the sidings, inspection activities, repairs and maintenance of track, engineering and consulting activities in the area of railway construction and operation of railway transport, including consulting services of the Safety Advisor. Rail services We provide professional services in all areas of rail transport and maintenance, including roadbed, communications and safety devices. We build and renovate rail tracks, railway crossings, special railway structures, railway lines and switches, reinforced areas, drainage systems and utility distribution networks. We conduct assemblies, maintenance and repairs of communication and safety devices and we install radio communication systems. To conduct our rail services, we use our own machinery and equipment, and our own assembly centre in the Czech town of Karviná.

Intermodal transport intermodal transport Thanks to the interconnection of its own rail transport, open terminal and forwarding and logistic services, the AWT Group can offer extensive intermodal transport services in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries. As an independent rail transport company, we provide services to important intermodal transport operators, forwarding companies as well as other independent companies. Fast, safe, reliable, regular and flexible transport represents the main requirement for transporting intermodal transport units. We own an expansive fleet of locomotives that can operate in several countries. We dispatch entire trains and have the capability to reload ISO containers, road trailers and exchangeable extensions (swap bodies). We offer Just in Time transport and we monitor the whereabouts of trains via Track & Trace. We are the largest ACTS system operator in Central Europe and the only one in the. The ACTS system consists of special rolling containers, road carriers and freight wagons with revolving frames for containers. AWT has more than 400 ACTS containers of various types, 79 freight wagons of the Slps type and 10 automobile carriers/re-loaders. The development of intermodal transport is supported by AWT s open terminal in Ostrava-Paskov. Ostrava-Paskov terminal AWT operates one of the few open, independent terminals in the. The Ostrava-Paskov terminal, covering 31,000 sqm and with a capacity of 2,400 TEU, is situated close to industrial zones and the Czech borders with Poland and Slovakia. Its strategically convenient location in the heart of Europe allows for easy and fast connections with important European ports and terminals. It is located in the immediate proximity of a highway and has a railway connection to the inter state rail network. The terminal serves AWT and other parties, and it covers all activities related to transport, loading, collection, distribution, deposit, the repair and cleaning of containers, train customs clearance, storage of containers on open platforms and customs services at local customs offices. At this terminal, AWT operates container loaders capable of stacking individual containers to up to five layers as well as handling regular ISO containers, road trailers and exchangeable extensions. Moreover, we have our own trucks with container trailers, locomotives and freight wagons for transporting containers. The rail siding in Paskov operates nonstop. 6 4. Freight wagons rental Freight wagons rental AWT, via AWT ROSCO, offers comprehensive services related to the lease and administration of rolling stock fleets. More than 30 years of experience in this area puts us among the leaders in the field. AWT leases and manages a fleet of more than 5,500 freight wagons. In Central and Eastern Europe, we especially use high-wall, covered, cistern, dumping and flatbed freight wagons. We can offer customers the lease of a single freight wagon or multiple freight wagons, including general maintenance. Our customers include leading transport and industrial companies in the, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Other areas of our activities include cleaning tank wagons, trucks and road tankers, hazardous waste management and waste water treatment. Transport across business sectors The AWT Group provides logistic and transport services to almost all industry sectors.
