1 Manufacturer: Holovision SIP Door Station Model Number(s): 414 VIO SIP Integration Note Comments: Firmware VA1.09, WebUI V12.12, Bootloader V99.26, Setup V01.01 Minimum Core Module 7.2.xxx Models Tested: Holovision 414 VIO SIP Doorstation Document Revision Date: 12/4/2015 Note: Development and Testing was performed on the Holovision 414 VIO SIP doorstation. However, other Holovision units with VIO(SIP) intercom modules are expected to work in the same manner. Please be sure to test your device prior to installation at the customer site. OVERVIEW AND SUPPORTED FEATURES Holovision units with VIO(sip) intercom modules are SIP Door Station solutions with an integrated video camera for monitoring door activity. ELAN g! integration with the station supports the following features: 1. Paging- When the Call button is pressed on the Door Station, it will call all appropriate Intercom Stations based on the House Mode of the g! System 2. 2 Way Calls- A user at an Intercom Station can converse with the person who pressed the Call button 3. Video Monitoring- The camera in the Door Station may be accessed from any Intercom Station to view the caller 4. Relay Actuation- The relay in the Door Station may be actuated using the DTMF commands INTEGRATION REQUIREMENTS NOTE: Holovision units With VIO(sip) intercom modules REQUIRE a POE+ (high power, 25 watts) connection. It is not possible to power the station any other way. Either a PoE router/switch or a PoE injector MUST be used with this device. Holovision units with VIO(sip) intercom modules require a single CAT5 Ethernet connection to the same network to which the g! Intercom Controller is attached: Pull the CAT5 cable from the door station location to the Network Switch or Router Terminate both ends of the cable Test the cable to ensure proper performance Connect the Door Station; ensure that it powers up. As the station boots, it will speak the IP Address of the SIP board using a Text to Speech engine. Make a note of this IP address for use during Configuration. Note that the built-in camera will have a Different IP address than the SIP board. 2 COMPONENT SETUP NOTE: Prior to setting up the SIP component of the Door Station, you will need to enable the SIP Server in the g! Controller. Please see the Intercom Integration Note for details on this configuration. SIP VOIP: 1. Enter the IP Address provided by the unit at boot into your Web Browser then press Enter. You will be taken to the Home screen of the Door Stations Web GUI: 2. Select the CONFIGURATION tab at the top. You will be taken to the Basic Settings page:
3 3. Under SIP Protocol Settings, change the following: a. Set Peer to Peer to No b. Set SIP Server (PBX) to the IP Address of the g! Intercom Controller c. Set the SIP ID (username) field to a descriptive name d. Leave the SIP Password (secret) field blank e. Set the SIP Display Name to a descriptive name. This is the field that will show in the Configurator and Viewer. 4. Leave the Outbound Call Settings all set to Default 5. Under Inbound Call Settings, ensure the following: a. Set Phone pickup mode to autoanswer b. Set the Pick/hang up time to 20 seconds 6. Select Advanced Settings from the menu on the right to go to the Advanced Settings page. You will be taken to the Network sub-page: 7. If desired, set the network to a static IP, however DHCP Configuration (default) should be adequate. 8. Select the SIP Protocol tab and ensure that the SIP Server and SIP ID match those in the basic settings. CAMERA SETUP: Despite having a single Ethernet interface, the camera and VoIP in the Holovision Door Station have different IP Addresses. This configuration requires that the camera portion be added to g! separately on the Video tab and then later assigned to the Door Station. This section will describe how to obtain the IP Address of the camera module. Adding the camera itself will be covered in the next section, g! Configuration Details. To obtain the IP address of the camera, perform the following steps. 1. Install the NetCamIPInstaller utility on your PC. This can be found on the disk included with the Holovision units with VIO(sip) intercom modules. 2. Run the NetCamIPInstaller software. It will locate the Holovision cameras on the network and provide the IP Address of each:
4 3. It should be possible to correlate the MAC Addresses with the MAC Addresses stickers on the cameras to determine which IP Address is assigned to which camera. Make careful notes of the IP Addresses in the below chart: Door Station Name Camera IP Address
5 G! CONFIGURATION DETAILS ADD THE CAMERA TO CONFIGURATOR: To add the Door Station Cameras to the system, perform the following steps: 1. In Configurator, go to the Video tab 2. Right Click Video Cameras/Sources and select Add New Video Source/Camera. The Add New Video Source/Camera Window will be displayed: 3. Scroll down the list until you find the entry for ONVIF Video Source (Static). Select this entry, then click OK. An ONVIF Video Source (Static) will be added: 4. Give the ONVIF camera a recognizable name
6 5. In the URL field, change ONLY the IP address in the URL Line to match the camera IP. For example, if the IP Address of the camera is , change the URL Line to read 6. Enter the User Name and Password. Default is admin/admin 7. Click the Apply button. An hourglass will appear while the g! system queries the camera. If the IP Address and login credentials are correct, the Device Type should populate with the camera model KNC-HDi47. If it does not, go back and double check your settings: CONFIGURE THE DOOR STATION The Door Station should connect to the g! Controller as soon as it is provided the IP Address of the SIP server. When it connects, it will automatically populate under the Door Station heading on the Messaging tab in Configurator:
7 No configuration of the door station should be needed to provide SIP functionality. In order to provide video to the Door Station in the viewer, a camera must be assigned to the station using the Video dropdown. Any camera may be assigned to the door station. The Video drop-down defaults to Built-In. This setting tells Configurator to use the camera at the same IP Address as the door station. However, as the Holovision Door Station has a second IP address for the camera, the correct camera must be selected from the drop-down. Select the camera appropriate to the station, and then click the Apply button. You do not have to use the Holovision camera for this- any camera in the g! system may be assigned to the station. RELAY/DOOR STRIKE CONFIGURATION As of g! Core Module 7.3, support for the activation of the relays in the Holovision VIO Door Station has been added. The relay is activated using the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) standard that is built into the Door Station. To add Relay/Door Strike capabilities to the door station, begin on the Messaging tab in Configurator:
8 Locate the Holovision Door Station in the list of Intercom Devices and click the + to expand the Options. Using the Output 1 dropdown, select the DTMF option that is followed by the Door Station name: Once this is done, enter a name for Output 1. This name will be displayed on the button that is populated in the g! Viewer. When the Relay button is pressed in the viewer, the user is presented with a DTMF Number Pad. Pressing the code configured in the Door Station will actuate the relay for the ammount of time predefined in the Door Station settings:

10 Common Mistakes 1. No Video. If there is no video for the door station in the viewer, ensure that the Video drop-down for the Door Station on the Messaging tab has the correct camera selected. 2. Door Station not populating in the Viewer. Make sure that the Door Station has populated on the Messaging tab in Configurator. Check the settings in the Door Station Web GUI to make sure the g! Controller is assigned as the SIP server. 3. No Page signal sent when button is pressed. Ensure that the Dial Plans are set up correctly and the system is in the correct System Mode for the Dial Plan. See the Intercom Integration Note for details on setting up Dial Plans
