Programme Highlights Speaker Series--Learning from experienced staff working in an array of technical sectors and business functions about what it looks like to work at an international nonprofit. Intern Cohort Sessions--Learning from other interns based in our offices in Los Angeles (Monrovia, CA), New York City, Seattle (Federal Way, WA), and Washington, D.C. through weekly video conference calls.programme LOGISTICS & QUALIFICATIONSInternship Programme DatesMay 18 August 14, 2015 StipendInterns are paid a monthly stipend of $750HoursFull-time and part-time opportunities are available (24-40 hours/week)locationinternships will be based in Washington D.C. EligibilityAll candidates must meet the following requirements:-- At least 18 years of age.-- Current college student, graduate student, or recently graduate from an undergraduate/graduate program (within 2 years).-- Eligible to work in the United States.-- Able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.-- Adhere to the Christian Statement of Faith required by all World Vision International employees. SPRING 2015 INTERNSHIPS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. Advocacy & Social Accountability Intern Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communication, International Development, International Relations, Political Science, Public Health, Theology (1) Support to help people learn about local advocacy (building skills, competencies, and knowledge). This includes helping design, test, maintain, and improve the Citizen Voice & Action (CVA) e-learning module(s) and the CVA database. (2) Design and execute a plan to convert the internal and external web and social media platforms from 'informational & knowledge management'-oriented to a more relevant, active learning & discussion-oriented platform. (3) Work with the CVA Global Management team (who lead the world-wide community of CVA practitioners) to support the FY15 plans. This may involve writing case studies, documenting best practices, coordinating discussions, etc. (4) Identify a piece of research, or written documentation product (case study or the like), decided in line with the intern's field of study and interest. CVA covers many, if not all, areas of World Vision's work: health, education, food security, water, economic development, advocacy, spiritual development, gender and child protection.

3 Education & Life Skills Intern Eligible Candidates: Current graduate student or completed graduate program Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: International Development, International Education, Foreign Policy, Political Science, Public Policy This intern will work with the Global Education and Life Skills (EdLS) team to develop key documents in the areas of Grants Acquisition and Management (GAM) and Learning. Some key deliverables will include the following: (1) Help finalize a document that maps out international education assistance donors (including multilaterals, bilaterals, U.S. foundations, etc.) by region and country. (2) Develop the EdLS GAM strategy and assist with the consolidation of the EdLS GAM capacity statement. (3) Map out the All Children Reading projects so that National Offices can leverage the learning happening in their respective countries. (4) The intern will play a critical role with the EdLS team during the duration of the internship, and will be provided with opportunities to learn about WV's global work in the field of education. Gender & Development Intern Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: International Development, Gender Studies, Communications, Child Development, Public Health, Education (1) Carry out an analysis of outcome indicators used in World Vision global programming to assess gender sensitivity and effectiveness in tracking impact of gender integration. (2) Synthesize information on WVs current efforts to prevent and reduce early marriage and FGM. (3) Develop communications pieces for various audiences on gender programming, community development and adolescent/youth programming (to include infographics and other creative mediums of sharing information). (4) Carry out research including literature review of internal and external documents on themes related to adolescent/youth programming. Grants Acquisition & Management Intern

4 Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Public Administration/Policy (1) Work with the global grants acquisition and management team on a global quality assurance framework for grants management. (2) Manage a campaign to build a database of grants acquisition experts in World Visions Global Technical Resource Network. (3) Research and review communities of practice and advise Grants team on improvements and innovations for the Grants Acquisition and Management Community. Grants Project Management Intern Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: International Development, International Relations, Project Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration/Policy (1) Develop guidelines for the roll out of the program management minimum standards. (2) Assist in developing minimum standards for program evaluation. (3) Help develop the learning modules for project management. (4) Assess total number of beneficiaries under current grant active portfolio. (5) Other projects related to the global grants strategy. Communications Intern, Humanitarian Emergencies & Affairs Eligible Candidates: Current college student, recent college graduate, current graduate student or completed graduate program Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Communications, Marketing, Writing, Social Media/Digital Marketing This WVI internship will focus on design and implementation of a communications and public engagement campaign to highlight World Visions emergency and humanitarian work worldwide meeting the urgent needs of children and their families affected by conflict and natural disaster. Activities will include (1) technical support in writing web content, press releases, and content for social media (twitter, LinkedIn), targeted at key actors within the humanitarian industry such as donor governments, UN partners, global and regional funding bodies, industry bodies and niche industry media and social media influencers. (2)

(3) Specific projects could include technical communications support for: (4) WVs public engagement campaign for the World Humanitarian Summit 2016 (WHS2016). In preparation for the WHS2016 World Vision is planning a comprehensive communications plan to ensure the rights and needs of children affected by disasters are addressed in the outcomes. (5) Documenting and communicating the positive outcomes for children and impact of World Visions work. Social Performance Intern, VisionFund (microfinance) Eligible Candidates: Current graduate student or completed graduate program Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: International Development, Economics, Applied Statistics, Theology (1) Gather information from our microfinance institutions and conduct analysis of the faith-based programming strategy mapping exercises. (2) Research and gather Christian leadership development materials and assist with populating digital library.(3) Assist with logistical implementation of Client Education pilots. (4) Compile and review baseline and post-pilot assessment data (incl. client questionnaires, PAR, client #s, time/session, etc.) and provide constructive feedback on the Embedded Education model.
