AUSTRIA WIEN SCHWECHAT - VIE/LOWW Runway Configuration Maximum Maximum Departures Global Arrivals Date received: October/November 2013 ARR RWY 11, DEP RWY ARR RWY 16, DEP RWY 29/ Note: No changes in airport capacity reported in ARR RWY 34, DEP RWY 29/ ARR RWY16, DEP RWY ARR RWY34, DEP RWY Vienna airport has recorded a relevant decrease of arrival delay during 2011 and 2012 due to the introduction of a specific operational procedure to avoid ATFM regulations for arriving traffic. In 2013 the arrival delay has stabilized remaining almost the same as the one achieved in Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): NM, in collaboration with the airport slot coordinator, Airport Operator and Ministry of Transport, has conducted an airport slot consistency trial in Vienna airport. Results show that the number of aircraft that operate without an airport slot has reduced. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): NM provided support towards implementation. DENMARK KOBENHAVN KASTRUP - CPH/EKCH Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November L/R L/R Note: No changes in airport capacity reported in Compared to 2009, 2010 and 2011 the delays reduced significantly although the traffic remained almost the same. Regarding the flights punctuality, 2013 was at the same level as Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): NM advised on the need of provision of adverse weather conditions well in advance as well as the estimated impact on operations. This is essential to ensure consistent management and communication during adverse conditions with NM. FINLAND HELSINKI VANTAA - HEL/EFHK Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November All runways Parallel 22 / ARR 15, DEP 22R and 22L Single runway 22R, 22L, 15, 04R Note: No changes in airport capacity reported in Parallel 22 / Parallel 22 / The traffic level in 2013 was slightly below previous years, but there is a noticeable high decrease in delays for Helsinki. In 2012 we had aerodrome capacity and weather related delays. However, in 2013 only adverse weather delays remained (but also significantly lower than before). Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): No ACAP actions in Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): On 22 January 2013 Helsinki became fully implemented CDM Airport. The delays recorded in 2013 were identified during the ski season. They were much higher than previous years although the traffic level dropped. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): Annecy airport was identified by NM as an airport recording high delays during the ski season. FRANCE - CANNES MANDELIEU - CEQ/LFMD (Limited information available Airport is not yet participating in the regular EUROCONTROL reporting process) Note: Arrival and departure punctuality graphics are not shown as NM does not have sufficient data for this airport. Cannes airport shows a continuous improvement (as in 2012) but remains in the delay statistics due to the special events taking place every year. This leads to high demand reported as airport related delay. Chambery airport has significantly increased the arrival delay compared to 2012 although the traffic level remained at same level. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): Chambery airport was identified by NM as an airport recording high delays during the ski season. In 2013 the situation has improved compared with previous years. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): Düsseldorf became a fully implemented A-CDM airport on 24 April NM has provided support to implemented German airports to assist in improving operations in adverse conditions. The delay issue remains the same aerodrome capacity during summer season. GREECE - KHANIA SOUDA - CHQ/LGSA (Limited information available Airport is not yet participating in the regular EUROCONTROL reporting process) At Khania Souda Airport we can still notice an increase in traffic and delay level (compared to 2012). The delay issue remains the same aerodrome capacity during summer season. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): From July to September NM analysed day to day operations, identifying peaks and overdemand and contacting the AO's to try to arrange schedule modification. The delay issue remains the same aerodrome capacity during summer season. GREECE - SANTORINI - JTR/LGSR (Limited information available Airport is not yet participating in the regular EUROCONTROL reporting process) At Santorini Airport we can notice an increase in traffic and delay level (compared to 2012). The delay issue remains the same aerodrome capacity during summer season. NETHERLANDS AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL - AMS/EHAM Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: April/May Date received: October/November 2013 Inbound peak Night Off peak Outbound peak Amsterdam Schiphol airport delays were slightly lower than in The delays were caused mainly by adverse weather conditions. This airport recorded high weather related delays mostly during the winter season. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): Cooperation with Schiphol on enhanced information exchange between the airport and the NM at pre-tactical and tactical level. Recurring ATC capacity delays were observed during end 2013 and NM started analysing the root cause behind it in coordination with the airport operator and LVNL. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): NM provided support towards implementation. Continuous Descent Operation (CDO): NM provided support on CDO's to Parallel runways. SPAIN - PALMA DE MALLORCA - PMI/LEPA Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November 2013 ARR 06L - DEP 06R ARR 24L - DEP 24R Note: No changes in airport capacity reported in Palma de Mallorca airport showed slightly lower arrival delays in Palma faces capacity saturation during summer season with a high traffic demand during certain days of the week. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): NM OPS has performed an analysis of the causes of delays in Palma airport in cooperation with the Airport Unit. Taxi-out delays issues were addressed through the Palma Taxi-out trial, led jointly by NM and IACA. The pending need of airspace restructuring at the interface between Spain and France (Barcelona with Brest and Bordeaux ACCs), in particular the streamlining of traffic flows over the way points OKABI and GIROM, led to significant decrease of departure delays, leading to timely taxi-out and improved availability of parking stands. NM supported the TTA (Target Time of Arrivals) SESAR trials in Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): NM provided support towards implementation. Continuous Descent Operation (CDO): Night period CDO STARS published in AIP. Results being analysed to investigate extending CDO available period. SWITZERLAND - GENEVE - GVA/LSGG Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November Note: No changes in airport capacity reported in Geneva airport recorded higher arrival delay in 2013 mostly due to adverse weather conditions and ATC capacity. The delays were also influenced by the high ski traffic demand during the winter season. SWITZERLAND - ZURICH FLUGHAFEN - ZRH/LSZH Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November 2014 DEP RWY10 ARR RWY DEP RWY28 ARR RWY DEP RWY32/34 ARR RWY Zurich airport arrival delays have shown a minor increase. Due to the environmental constraints the delay situation has not improved. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): Cooperation with Zurich airport on enhanced information exchange between the airport and the NM at pre-tactical and tactical level. NM CODA has started an assessment of delays which is still on going. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): Full implementation of A-CDM (DPIs exchange) on 19 August Continuous Descent Operation (CDO): CDO implementation project is linked with the introduction of RNAV 1 implementation. TURKEY ISTANBUL ATATURK - IST/LTBA Runway Configuration Maximum Arrivals Maximum Departures Global Date received: October/November 2012 All Configurations Date received: April/May 2013 All Configurations Date received: October/November 2013 All Configurations Istanbul Ataturk airport despite the traffic increase of 12.5% has recorded a significant decrease of arrival delay and also no longer appears in the top 20 statistics of Most of the delays in the past were caused by limitation to optimum runway configuration in use. The successful introduction of new procedures optimizing the use of runway configuration under adverse conditions (wind) and staff increase brought a substantial improvement. TMA restructuring along with more efficient SID/STAR schema contributed to the reduction of delays. Airport Capacity and Performance (ACAP): NM supported local trials aiming to reduce holding times at Heathrow (May 2013). Cooperation with Heathrow on enhanced information exchange between the airport and the NM at pre-tactical and tactical level. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM): On 31 May 2012, London Heathrow became the 5th fully implemented A-CDM airport. Due to local issues, the exchange of DPIs with the network was suspended in July After an extensive period of investigation and mitigation of local issues, Heathrow airport was successfully reconnected to the Network (A- CDM full implementation) on 27 June NM Network Operations Report ANNEX III - Airports 24
