Customers wishing to use SafeZone-edge for any Axis Artpec-4 & Artpec-5 thermal cameras (Q1931 & Q1941 series) can purchase the new Axis Perimeter Defender (APD) analytics, which has been developed by Digital Barriers in partnership with Axis Communications under a licence OEM agreement. (*): enabling the Long Range capability (only possible for thermal cameras) increases the detection distance, but disables discrimination between humans and vehicles in alarms and some additional false alarms may occur in particular for animals. (**): due to limited CPU capacity of AXIS cameras, SafeZone-edge performs the video analysis on a 192x144 image resolution by default (Long Range capability disabled). When the Long Range capability is enabled, SafeZone-edge performs the video analysis on a 384x288 image resolution.
