Hi, my name is Carolyn Chandler. I have lived in Katy for 22 years with my husband and teenage daughter. I have been a counselor for 20 plus years. I love working with kids and families. In my spare time I enjoy watching my daughter play volleyball and tennis. My hobbies are sewing, golfing, decorating and gardening. I am excited to be at Griffin and look forward to interacting with the students. Spring Fundraiser March :35pm, gym March Time to gather pledges March 27 - Fun Run Schedule for March 27th 8:45 - Grades 3 & 4 9:45 - Pre-K AM & Kinder 10:45-11:15-5th grade boys & girls 12:45 - Grades 1 & 2 1:45-2:15 - Pre-K PM & CAP 25 Country Challenge When sponsors have been received from 25 different countries, the top twenty-five students will be given an opportunity to battle the MGE administrative team with Silly String! (See page 3 for more information from the PTA) Congratulations to Heather Bowman. She has accepted a position with Fort Bend I.S.D. as Lead Counselor. We send her off with best wishes and the knowledge that she will use her expertise to positively effect the lives of children. We thank her for her service to our community.

3 Parents, We re excited to kick off the Fun Run at Griffin! The goal of the Fun Run is to raise funds while teaching our kids about the importance of Fitness, Leadership, and Character. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for new Books and ipads and we need your help to connect your child to sponsors! We are very excited to have the Fun Run on campus, and hope you will enjoy learning about the Rock n Town Live community this year! Your student will come home on Wednesday, Mar. 18th with their Pledgebook. The Pledgebook has everything you need to get started. Simply log on to funrun.com, and please follow these simple steps: 1) Sign up as a parent on funrun.com by clicking the "Sign Up" button. ***If you ve signed up before and cannot remember your password, click the "Forgot Password?" button. 2) Once you are logged on, click the "Register a Participant button on the Home Page, and enter your student s registration code. Your student s classroom registration code can be found on the front of the pledge book. Make sure to use the correct classroom code. You can begin to enter pledges the afternoon of the Pep Rally. 3) Enter your student s information and double-check the correct classroom assignment. The Fun Run date is March 26th! The following are the run times for all the grades: 8:45-9:45 4th and 3rd 9:45-10:45 PK and K 10:45-11:15 5th 12:45-1:45 1st and 2nd 1:45-2:15 PK p.m. and CAP Thank you again for supporting Griffin!
