SRX-R320 Series True 4K quality The ultra high resolution of 4K provides more realistic images, allowing greater audience immersion. 4K movies bring the visual experience enjoyed by the director directly to the cinema audience. Easy on the eye 3D Sony s unique dual lens for 3D simultaneously projects the left and right eye images to give the benefits of a dual projection system from a single projector without triple-flash. High Frame Rate ready* The SRX-R320P is High Frame Rate (HFR) ready, allowing you to show all the latest movies just as the director intended, whether it is standard 24 frames per second (fps), smooth 48 fps, or more. Displays high quality 4K and 2K for the most future proof solution. The display of lower resolution 2K and HD content is enhanced through automatic up-conversion to a 4K equivalent image before projection. Complete digital cinema system Sony can provide the projector, cinema server and highly integrated screen management system, as well as STM-100 Theatre Management System software to handle scheduling management and status monitoring across a large cinema complex. 2 SRX-R320 Series The World s #1 4K Projector SRX-R320 Series Redefining the cinema experience Highest quality features Key Feature Conforms to the DCI 4K image standard 4K is the highest resolution standard defined in the DCI Specification and, at 4096 x 2160 pixels, is FOUR times the resolution of 2K (2048 x 1080). Outstanding 3D performance Sony s unique dual lens system displays 3D movies at their native 2K resolution. The dual lens technology projects the left and right eye images simultaneously to achieve crisp 3D images. High 2000:1 contrast ratio The SRX-R320P offers a high contrast ratio of more than 2000:1 through the use of Sony s unique SXRD device. The SXRD device itself achieves a contrast ratio of over 4000:1. This stunning picture quality makes the SRX-R320P ideal for applications in which dynamic range is essential. High brightness delivering 14 ft-l on screens up to 17 metres wide The single 4.2KW Xenon lamp delivers the SMPTE brightness level of 14 ft-l on screens up to 17 metres in width (Lamp Power 80%, Port glass 93%, gain 1.8). Range of Xenon bulb sizes from a choice of manufacturers The SRX-R320P projector can be used with a range of Xenon bulb sizes to provide optimum brightness on a range of screen sizes. Xenon bulbs for the SRX-R320P are available from a number of recommended manufacturers including Ushio, Osram and Philips. Variety of high-quality lenses Three (Z211, 214, 219) optional zoom lenses are available for the SRX-R320P. All lenses utilise very large image circles that contribute to minimising the optical vignetting that typically occurs on projector lenses, and to obtaining the highest possible values of MTF (Modulation Transfer Function). Comprehensive security systems The SRX-R320P body structure which surrounds the built-in LMT-300 Media Block forms a security enclosure specifically developed to comply with the FIPS-140/2 physical security and anti-tamper requirements specified by the DCI. Sophisticated SMS software The Sony projection system incorporates sophisticated Screen Management System (SMS) software to enable control from the projectionist s colour touch screen on the rear of the projector or from a dedicated PC. Screen Management System functions include: movie and key ingest management, show playlist management and playback control. True 4K True 4K with 4K SXRD panel and F2.5 large aperture lens made of ELD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass to create a super fine pitch 4K image. Intermission functionality You can insert an intermission where you want in the SPL, which is a common requirement in some countries, especially with locally produced content.** In addition, you can decide time and duration of the intermission, previewing before and after the intermission you inserted. ** Inserting an intermission is not officially endorsed by the DCI Compliance. We recommend that this function is not used with non-local content.

They all offer easy on the eye 3D: they simultaneously projects the left and right eye images to give the benefits of a dual projection system from a single projector without triple-flash. Each 3D system works with a different version of the leading SRX-R320 4K projection system, which has an optical block and SXRD panel optimised for each 3D method used. RealD 3D for polarized filter 3D systems Crisp 3D with no triple flash Sony s unique dual lens system displays 3D movies at their 2K resolution. The dual lens combined with RealD technology projects the Left and Right eye images simultaneously to achieve crisp 3D images. The RealD 3D system operates with the SRX-R320P projection system. For High Frame Rate 3D content, the Sony Digital Cinema 3D on dual lens solution significantly reduces flicker and motion blur. Sony Digital Cinema 3D for polarized filter 3D system Easy on the eye 3D The Sony Digital Cinema 3D system ensures amazing picture quality, allowing exhibitors and cinema owners to deliver a fully immersive entertainment experience with no triple flash. It operates with the SRX-R320SP, part of the SRX-R320 series of projectors. It is also ideal for use with High Frame Rate (HFR) content. Sony Digital Cinema 3D shows two images to both eyes simultaneously for a more natural easy on the eye viewing, reflecting the way human vision works naturally. The result gives a depth of field and experience so lifelike that viewers can feel like they are part of the action. For HFR 3D content, the Sony Digital Cinema 3D on dual lens solution significantly reduces flicker and motion blur. Exhibitors can own their own equipment without a licence fee. Dolby 3D for colour filter 3D System The white screen option Sony has partnered with Dolby to create an easy on the eye Dolby 3D system for Sony Digital Cinema 4K systems aimed at non-silver screens. The unique Sony 3D dual lens with a static Dolby filter inside produces perfect 3D pictures for white screen auditorium, free from triple flash effects. The Dolby 3D system operates with the SRX-R320SP/P, part of the SRX-R320 series of projectors. Due to the lower light efficiency of white screen solutions, the Dolby 3D system is most practical for cinemas with small screens. Dolby 3D achieves separation of the Left and Right eye images with colour filtering instead of polarised light, producing a great 3D picture from any seat in the house. There is less variation in brightness, no hot spot and ghosting is all but eliminated. Exhibitors can own their own equipment without a licence fee and use existing white screens (depending on their age and condition). Dolby 3D offers more choice to Sony Digital Cinema 4K, perfect for white screen auditorium. Please note that the different systems are not compatible between each other.
