2 History Of Council Bluffs Youth Soccer Association (CBYSA): Recreational Soccer Teams June 6, 1978 to Present Up to 2000 Player +/- Up to 150 Teams +/- Council Bluffs Futbol Club (CBFC): Competitive /Select Soccer Teams Created 2005 to Present Up to 250 Player +/- Up to 20 Teams +/-

16 U7-U8 Pre-Academy Program Who is it for: All players wanting more training or needing a challenge Program: Optional to parents - Additional fee One night a week Training open to all who signup. Coaches encouraged to participate/assist. Players would remain on recreational team they were issued too. Seasons ending street soccer festival for all in the program. Qualified Coaching Staff managed program. Director of Coaching Organized.

17 U9-U10 Academy Program Who is it for: All players wanting more training or needing a challenge Program: Optional for parents/players replaces Recreational team Played in accordance with Iowa Soccer Academy guidelines Open to anyone player interested Requires commitment from parents Teams would be created among Academy players per Iowa Soccer guidelines. Teams will compete in appropriate league based on skill. Qualified Coaching Staff managed program. Director of Coaching Organized.

18 Competitive Play Select and Competitive Teams

19 Competitive LEVELS When to choose Competitive / Select Soccer! When a parent and/or Coach sees talent SELECT Limit of 2 teams per age group with exceptions. Age groups consist of U11,U12,U13,U14,U15-U18 possible 2-3 Tournaments per season COMPETITIVE Limit of 2 teams per age group with exceptions. Competitive teams that will include Traveling. Age groups dependent on team in this level. Minimum of 1 Tournament per season Lower cost than Select

20 Select SELECT Any child is eligible to try-out U11-U18 Tryouts are not mandatory, parents and players have the choice to stay in rec. Limit of 2 teams per age group. Tryouts organized by Coaching Director Coaches assigned to team will have a minimum D State or National License Teams will play in appropriate league based on team level/skill.

21 z COMPETITIVE Presently Traveling CBYSA teams from Rec Division Present Traveling Teams will be Grandfathered to Competitive Level Any child that does not make Select has opportunity. Limit of teams per age group may be set. Team required to take players to fill roster Placement of new players organized by Coaching Director / Player placement coordinator Coaches assigned to team will have a minimum E State or National License Teams will play in appropriate league based on team skill and Coaching director approval. Any player not placed on a team will be placed on a recreational team

23 What does this mean for Me as a Coach? If coaching recreational and wanting to stay recreational, very little will change. Minimum F State or National License Recreational Minimum F Competitive Minimum of E Select Minimum of D Coaching Director to help with training and guidance Coaching education, support from other coaches within the club. Administrator to help with Player placement

24 What does the mean for Me as a Parent Club Structure for child's development and growth in soccer Opportunity to play at different levels. More Soccer Clinics and Camps Improved Certified Coaching Registration will be for players not teams. All players are welcome and will be able to play Parent Education
