3 J & L Livestock Joe & Linda Goggins & Family 4935 Powmer Road Billings, MT Cell (406) Res: (406) Dear Friends & Cattlemen: Linda, the Kids and I, along with Merrill and Kathleen Ostrum, want to welcome you all to our 7th Annual Montana Angus Female Bonanza Sale. Over the last 7 years we have strived to bring you a set of females that have what we call PROGRAM behind them. By that we mean you can count on these females being bred to top high performing bulls that are bred and look alike. They will be in tight calving groups and for the most part, separated in groups carrying bull or heifer calves. We know the history and genetics behind all the females selling. This is what we mean when we say these females have PROGRAM behind them. We are very excited about the sale offering this year. We re selling 636 bred heifers carrying the service of the great low birthweight, high performance bull, TC Franklin 619. The Franklins come easy and have a lot of grow in them. Our first Franklin daughters are some of the best uddered, deep bodied, easy fleshing females we have ever had. We also have 107 heifers carrying the service of Connealy Danny Boy, one of the great low birth bulls in the breed. A high percentage of these heifers bred Danny Boy are Franklin daughters themselves. Rounding out the bred heifers, the balance are pasture bred to Franklin, Danny Boy and Nebraska sons purchased from the Vermilion Ranch. We have as good an offering of young cows as we have ever sold. In the sale, there are 1819 two to four year old Angus cows with worlds of PROGRAM behind them. They are bred to have a big time set of calves. As a note, their 2010 calves averaged $ a head. Growing up in production agriculture has been a wonderful experience. There have been many good times as well as bad along the way but at the present time, I cannot think of a time in my life where it has felt so right to own a Momma cow. We have worlds of feed, the lowest cow numbers in history, and the rest of the world has finally come around to realize they would rather eat Meat, than bread and rice. This is all a very good equation for those of us in the cow-calf business. I really do think our best days are ahead of us. All the cows and bred heifers have been ultra sounded by Dr. Ralph Miller so you can buy with confidence. He is the best in the business. They will sell in short day calving periods. At this time I want to thank all of our family, friends and neighbors for helping Linda and I with this venture. Without them and their long hours and help, we couldn t do it. As you can see, we have put a whole lot of time, effort and expense into this set of Angus females. I hope you take advantage of these females and the PROGRAM behind them. There won t be a lot like them for sale in the USA this year. Thanks for your interest and good luck with your purchases. Sincerely, Joe Goggins
