8 Surgeons Experience Mr Steve Young, UK Dr Tarik Ait Selmi, France Prof Tim Board, UK Used in 100% of my patients It became obvious quite quickly that CORAIL was an implant that was suitable for all, so by the middle of 2002, I used it in every patient. I had been using the DURALOC cup for every patient, so when PINNACLE became available in 2005, I used the CORAIL PINNACLE construct in 100% of my patients. Simple, reliable, easy technique to teach, long history of good results and pleased patients! The construct of the CORAIL and PINNACLE has been excellent for me. There are several reasons why I think it s been good. Firstly it s a simple, reliable technique. Secondly it s something I can teach to the juniors easily. Thirdly there s a long history of good results. And fourthly I ve got a bunch of patients who are extremely happy with their results and that feedback is important to me, and I m sure in the future that construct will go on being used in Warwick. Reliable combination I use CORAIL PINNACLE because I do believe, and I consider, based on the scientific data that it s one of the most reliable combinations, and this is something that we need to be able to tell our patient, that implanting this combination will provide long term results without any drawbacks or specific problems. Reliable technique It is extremely important to have a reliable and reproducible technique on implants because we are addressing more and more patients, and we are educating more and more surgeons. Simple solution, reliable and reproducible surgical technique, fast and efficient reliable patient results So, I started using the CORAIL PINNACLE combination as I d been exposed to this in the last year of my training and it really struck me as a very simple solution, easily reliable and reproducible, surgical technique that was relatively fast and efficient. And above all, you know, seeing the patients clinically afterwards gave very reliable function results and the x-rays are always reliably reproduceable and overall I was just really impressed with the whole system. Consistency So, in a world where there s been obviously lots of modifications and other companies producing similar products, I think we have to be very careful and be aware of seemingly very minor modification to a system...

I use CORAIL PINNACLE for every patient, without exception The only combination I ve used is CORAIL PINNACLE and I use that combination without exception. I use it because it s got a proven track record, it s simple to use, if used properly, and we know that it gives good long term results. Simple Re-usable Technique for Teaching/Training For me it s important to have a straight forward, reproducible technique, because I have fellows, so on every case I do, I m training, and therefore it s valuable that I m doing the same thing, at the same time in every operation.
