We certainly hope everyone is doing well and your 2016 has started you off to another fine year. It doesn t seem anyway possible, but after doing the math we have established this will be our 20 th year hosting our campground and we would like to recognize some of you that have been with us for most or the entire time and want to express we really, really appreciate it. There has been a major change in our neighborhood! The bowling alley across the street, southeast of us, that Joy and I have grown up with, has been sold and eventually will be demolished to accommodate a new government owned VA Medical clinic. This property has in the past, hosted approximately 50 campers, that now must relocate. We have heard from several of these people who are planning to join us. We would like to point out as always, you have last years camp site reserved, (same spot is never guaranteed, but we try our best) until March 1 st. IF we do not see your application by then, we can only assume you are not coming and Joy will reassign sites to others that have sent in. We also would like to remind everyone, ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE PRIOR TO PARKING. It doesn t matter if you have been in the same spot for the entire time you have stayed with us, you must check in, and we will park you!! This also applies to groups, who may arrive at different times. Anyone moving or adjusting into their or another spot once our parking attendant leaves without permission will automatically be asked to leave. Due to the outrageous fuel prices last summer, we did assist a few of you in renting a local camper, so you could drive your passenger car to Knoxville and save money. If you would like to have us assist you finding a rental, please do not hesitate to give us a call at any time. We have asked the city of Knoxville to include gold cart and UTV laws. 2 2016 Camping Rates - 4 Nights Minimum There are actually TEN total, consecutive nights of racing in this area, referred to as the Southern Iowa Sprint Week. If wishing to camp earlier than August 10th, 2016 and are spending the four days of the Knoxville Nationals with us, we WILL DISCOUNT the PRIOR days due to the quantity of nights and the ease of checking you in early, rather than during Wednesday s Mad Rush! In case of rainout, we will discount additional nights the same as prior nights. In considering reservations we extremely focus on how many nights you are staying, with a minimum of 4 nights required for a reservation! PLEASE make a 1st and 2nd choice. If not indicated you will be placed in a Plan #1. Plan #1 (App. 20 x 40 diagonally) - Electric, water and individual sewer outlet. Camping prior to Aug. 10: $40.00 per night August 10th-13th: $50.00 per night. Plan #2 (App. 20 x 40 diagonally) - Electric and water only with rights to dump station. Camping prior to Aug. 10: $30.00 per night August 10 th 13th: $40.00 per night. Plan #3 Primitive Camping Only - No Electric. Use of water at nearby or remote location with rights to dump station. Tent camping is charged per each tent, not per group. Camping prior to Aug. 10: $25.00 per night August 10 th 13th: $30.00 per night. Plan #4 Larger Lot (27 x 40 ) With electric, water and sewer. Camping prior to Aug 10: $50.00 per night August 10 th 13th: $60.00 per night. Only 10 total plan #4 spots available. Plan #5 - Suitable for a large motor coach - near level - on semi-hard rock surface. Extra deep lot with electric and water and individual sewer outlet. Must weigh minimum 25,000 G.V.W. Camping prior to Aug. 10: $45.00 per night August 10 th 13th: $60.00 per night. Only 5 total plan #5 spots available. Plan #6 - Remote location exactly two blocks east of the south entrance of Raceway on total gravel w/only electric and water or primitive camping known as Shinn s Lot. Camping prior to Aug. 10: $30.00 per night August 10 th 13th: $40.00 per night. Anyone using a 50 amp power cord will be charged an additional $5.00 per night. No adapters allowed from 50 amp power cord reducing to 30 amp. Please make a response WITH YOUR PAYMENT to us soon, to reserve your spot.
