Scheduling and Curse Management Respnsible fr an integrated schedule f divisinal curse fferings and faculty assignments within the divisin and with ther Assciate Dean Crdinates with Assistant Dean f Student Recrds and Dean f Undergraduate Studies t plan fr and determine the necessary curse allcatins fr the divisinal curse fferings Assures divisinal curse schedules and faculty assignments are reviewed and turned int Student Recrds in a timely fashin Assures divisinal curse listings and cntent are accurate Assures curse listings and cntent in the MICA bulletin and/r website are accurate, cnsistent and up t date. Crdinates with ther Assciate Dean and Budget Cntract Manager t avid faculty scheduling cnflicts and t assure cntract assignments are met Scheduling and Curse Management Respnsible fr an integrated schedule f departmental curse fferings and faculty assignments Based n curse allcatins given frm Assistant Dean f Student Recrds and Assciate Dean prpses a schedule f departmental curse fferings and faculty assignments and advcates fr additinal sectins as needed Assures departmental curse schedules and faculty assignments are turned int Assciate Dean in timely fashin Assures departmental curse listings and cntent are accurate Maintain an accurate list f all full-time and part-time faculty members. 4 Assciate Dean & Chair Jb Descriptins /Duties In cncert with department Chair s, review and apprve prgram and scheduling cntent fr the develpment f the MICA Academic Bulletin: Create an updated prgram descriptin that clearly defines what students can expect frm earning a degree frm the prgram. Assures the general academic requirements, and the specific requirements necessary t cmplete a degree (majr, minr r cncentratin) are accurate Assures departmental degree plan list in detail the specific curses that are required fr majrs and cncentratrs/minrs. Wrks with Chairs in a substantial revisin f active curses. Determine that pre-requisites are accurate, remve discntinued curses, edit descriptins f inactive that have nt been ffered in tw years. Assures all departments have develped a clear and updated prgram descriptin fr the MICA Academic Bulletin. Reviews catalg numbers and titles f each curse listed in the degree plans, as well as hw many credits a curse is listed as wrth. Wrks with Dean f Cntinuing Studies regarding cntent f the pre-cllege cre and wrkshp classes fr high schl students t assure they prvide them with necessary skills sets fr entering int majr. Assures divisinal degree plans list in detail the specific curses that are required as well as the number f credits required t graduate with a degree frm each prgram. Reviews catalg numbers and titles f each curse listed in the degree plans, as well as hw many credits a curse is listed as wrth. In preparing the annual Wrks with faculty in a substantial revisin f active curses. Determine that pre-requisites are accurate, remve discntinued curses, and edit descriptins f inactive that have nt been ffered in tw years.
