Genomics & proteomics study the interaction of genes and proteins in biological systems Very few diseases are the direct result of only genetics, however Metabolomics measures the impact of environment and lifestyle on your genetics and biology This means metabolomics can find biological markers to measure the risk for disease, or to diagnose disease, that take into account the whole biological picture, from genetics to daily living choices. These markers are similar to cholesterol or blood glucose; they can change over time and should be monitored in the same way. 6
