4 Portland District Levee Inspections Deer Island, OR Periodic Inspection Services HDR supports the mission of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local sponsors by providing levee system inspections and operation and maintenance manual updates. Detailed inspection services include: Levee embankments Interior drainage structures Pump stations Flood walls Operation and maintenance manuals Emergency supplies and equipment Flood preparation and training HDR assists with the entire inspection process from project administration to post-processing the acquired data. Certification and Accreditation Services Both federal and non-federal levee owners face the challenging task of pursuing levee certification in order to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program. However, many levee systems cannot be certified and accredited in accordance with 44 CFR New guidelines allow for the detailed assignment of flood risks from non-accredited levee systems. HDR provides levee owners a trusted partner to navigate the complexities of the certification process. 5 Recreation Planning for a New Levee East Grand Forks, MN Permitting, Compliance and Design Services U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulations and guidance under Sections 33 CFR 408 and 208 are triggered when a project requires alterations to a federally-authorized flood control system.
