1 The BlueWhite variable area flowmeter uses a precision manufactured transparent tube with a tapered bore, into which is fitted a conical weighted float. The media (water, air, liquid or gaseous chemicals) flows vertically from the bottom to the top. As it passes through the tube, it displaces the float and raises it to a point where equilibrium is established between the lifting force of the media and the weight of the float. The top edge of the float directly indicates the flow volume on the graduated tube scale. BlueWhite manufacture a wide range of variable area flowmeters from corrosion resistant materials, including Acrylic, Polysulfone, PVCU and Glass. The range includes both inline flowmeters and panel mount flowmeters.
