4 Control Type: Micro 20 NOTE: When a malfunction occurs during a program, the central display will communicate the appropriate error message at the end of the cycle. When the malfunction has been corrected and a new program selected, the error message will disappear. When error codes E6, E7, E9 or Eb are detected at the start of a cycle, the program will not start and the error message will remain on display until the problem is corrected. E3 (OPL Models) The E Prom is defective Replace the E Prom E3 and a program number (Coin Models) E4 (water level) This indicates an incorrect price adjustment for the program (i.e. a coin value of 0 or larger than 1000 was programmed). Water level was not reached after 15 minutes. Correct coin value adjustment Check inlet water supply E5 (heating) E6 (door lock) E7 (safety level) E8 (temperature sensor) E9 (motor protection) Programmed temperature was not reached after 80 minutes. 8 Additional information for the PC30 and KEB Frequency Controller There is a test program built into the PC30 - the access code is E 227. The input voltages are 24 volts DC. The output voltages are 220 volts AC. The output of the PC30 motor relay to the inverter is 0 volts. The output of the PC30 soap relay is 0 volts. The drain time goes automatically witrh the spin time. The drain can be programmed (in seconds) with a spin. Programs 30 and 39 are fixed and cannot be deleted or modified. The door lock is controlled with its own print board. The door lock and unlock solenoid operate on 24 volts DC The door lock mechanism has 3 switches S1 (Door Closed switch input), S2 (Door Locked switch input) and S3 (Stops the signal from the door lock print board to the door lock coil, when the S2 switch is closed and the program starts). The resistor on the PC30 print board for the relay drain 1 has to be removed when the drain valve operates with an addtional relay. Page 8 of 18 FB08-15

9 Control Type: PS40 and PS40F NOTE: Alarm codes are used to alert the operator to problems with the machine function. The alarms do not indicate safety problems, therefore they do not interrupt the machine operation. When an alarm code is displayed the operator should make a note of the alarm code and contact a qualified technician. NOTE: Certain error indicators will prevent the start of a cycle or stop a cycle in progress until corrected. A0 Program key in wrong position when trying to access Correct position of program key PROGRAM Mode. A2 The program selected does not exist. Select another program A3 A4 The program was not preprogrammed or memory has been lost. The programmed water level was not reached after 15 minutes. Replace E Prom Check inlet water supply A5 A6 A7 A8 The programmed temperature was not reached after 60 minutes. The temperature in the cylinder is unsafe at the end of the cycle. The level switch detects water remaining in the drum at the end of the cycle. Temperature sensor or temperature sensor circuit is defective. Check auxillary heating system Inspect temperature sensor Check water safety level switch Allow laundry to cool down before removing Check drain outlet Replace temperature sensor Repair sensor wiring FB08-15 Page 9 of 18
