To foster mutual learning between project partners. To disseminate project outcomes across EU Member States.

INTELLECTUAL OUTPUTS VET Business Partnership WBL Implementation Model for VET CPD Materials

1. WBL IMPLEMENTATION MODEL FOR VET a framework for the development and practical implementation of effective and meaningful work experience practices for VET providers will provide guidelines on how to approach the design and implementation of work experience programmes based on the best practice examples from across partner countries will be relevant to VET providers, teachers and employers who need to work together to create a win-win situation where the students gain a valuable experience and the employers get the skills set they need

CPD MATERIALS FOR VET TEACHERS set of CPD materials for VET teachers to support them in preparation and delivery of work experience programmes in their current teaching practice will comprise of different modules focusing on particular challenges connected to the work experience activities and could be used as a pick and mix approach will give teachers a hands-on practical ideas on how to make the experience of students and employers more meaningful will be designed in a way that VET teachers can pick and implement different modules at any given time without a need of changing the organisational approach to the work experience process

3. VET BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS the aim of this project outcome is to explore practical strategies for better partnerships between colleges and employers to enhance relationships and knowledge of each other s sectors and support the delivery of work experience modules.

INTELLECTUAL OUTPUT ACTIVITIES DEVELOPMENT OF THE CPD MATERIALS An ongoing activity that will be based on overall project approach of learning from each other s experience and sharing knowledge. VALIDATION / PILOT TESTING This activity aims to test and validate different work-based learning approaches, their usefulness and effectiveness in different VET settings and will be conducted with significant involvement of VET teachers, students and employers who will provide feedback to different practices and approaches. Conclusions and recommendations will feed the development of the WBL Implementation Model. Each partner country will engage in the validation process 5 VET teachers, 20 VET students and 3 representatives from the local enterprises

MULTIPLIER EVENTS 1. CPD Workshops for VET sector in Ireland, Germany and Slovenia - Delivered by the VET teachers to VET teachers - Promotion of the Intellectual Outputs - To collect feedback 2. Final Conference in Dublin - Dissemination event - Launch of the final project outcomes - Target of 80 participants from across EU

TRAINING/TEACHING/LEARNING ACTIVITIES 3 STUDY VISITS (NI, Germany, Slovenia) Practical research into different work experience approaches in project partner organisations and resources that are being used to support VET teachers in that process.

TIPS ON WRITING A PROJECT APPLICATION Brainstorm your project idea well in advance / discuss with the target group / methodology and project design / real need. Spend time on finding the good partners / experience in the field / knowledge transfer / learning from each other / geographical value. Start writing the application from your aim and objectives. What are you trying to achieve and why? Then move on to your Intellectual Outputs they re the core of your project application. What do you want to develop? Plan to involve your target group in the development activities / research / focus groups / workshops / validation / pilot testing.

TIPS ON WRITING A PROJECT APPLICATION Start gathering information data from your project partners well in advance / make sure they have a valid PIC number / create Partner Forms to gather information / delegate person to look after that. Review EU Policies from recent years, priorities and objectives of the current call. Try to find a theme that will complement your project idea. Don t try to match it to too many policies. Go for quality rather than quantity. Keep it simple. Simple idea, that is clear for you will be definitely clear for the evaluator. Don t try to aim for too many objectives, be realistic (timeframe, budget etc.)

TIPS ON WRITING A PROJECT APPLICATION Don t forget about dissemination and sustainability strategy. Research in advance different promotional channels across EU that you could use to disseminate the project, ask your partners to do the same. Spend some time to plan a sustainability strategy. How will you make sure that the project outcomes will be sustain in the future? What kind of resources have to be put in place to achieve the sustainability? Copyrights / Open Education Resources Never leave the submission until the last day!! Try to submit the application at least one day before = less stress for you ;)
