We have a range of options to help you pick and choose what suits your living space, you can also choose practically any timber for your ladder as long as it falls within our sustainability ethos. Utilising high grade timbers to create a European Oak ladder or american black walnut to create a rolling ladder on a rail system, our bespoke ladders can become an addition to your contemporary living space. We can also supply more traditional designed ladders with elements such as over size treads and wrought iron handrails for more traditionally styled interiors. In addition to modern oak library ladders we can make foldaway step stools for reaching high up storage areas within your home all our ladders are supplied fully assembled, handrails and/or rear rests are simply fixed using the bolt/s provided.

Silicone bead set in routed channel on top side of tread. 1.5mm thick coloured melamine layer applied to timber tread, satin and gloss finishes also available make me furniture supply 3 different types of tread grip finishes as standard, these include: Standard tread grip We finish our ladder range with a satin finish Danish Oil as standard to give a soft sheen to the timber and bring out the grain. Silicone strip tread grip Silicone bead strips give the top face of the tread a more gripping surface under foot, suited for environments where moisture may be an issue such as in a bathroom or kitchen. Also well suited for access to mezzanine levels via a ladder where you may step on and step off the ladder. Melamine tread grip Use melamine to add an accent colour to you interior space. We apply the melamine to the top surface of the tread to work with the timber creating a contrast in finishes. Melamine is available in a large range of colours samples available on request.

At make me furniture we work with a range of timbers to create rolling ladder systems or static shelf library ladder designs. We source our timber as locally as possible and try to keep our sustainability ethos in mind when advising customers of what is available. Ash (Danish) Beech Iroko Maple Our standard timber used for library ladders is European Oak this is down to its finish and colouring which makes it suitable for most interiors whether traditional or contemporary. We can also supply ladders in a sprayed finish, usually in a white satin, again as with all our services we can offer spraying in a range of colours and finishes. The samples shown to the left are just a small selection of the timber available these have been chosen on the popularity of customers requests...
