CLUB DEVELOPMENT TABLE Develop a shared vision that is representative of the full club, not just one person! By involving as many people as you can in your organisation you can establish a shared vision that is representative of your members and clearly identifies your purpose. By selecting one vision, you add focus and clarity. Remember to complete the season date and identify the number of teams for each season. 3 GROWTH AND RETENTION This section identifies how the club plans to retain and grow provision and develop flexible club formats that will support existing players and introduce new male, female and disabled players from diverse communities into football. Aim: To ensure that Broomfield Youth develops, progesses & enhances player development. It's aim is to offer education and participation through football. 1 Retain all existing teams aiming for a retention rate of above 95% of all players 95% of existing players Football Development Officer Team Managers Creation of new teams through recruitment of new players - u7 team one new 5v5 team (U7) Chairman Flyers 200, Facility Hire 240 and Equipment Continue to promote a high level of coaching and recruit new players Continue to recruit a high standard of coaches Chairman Cost of coaching course per coach 4 Create a school-club link and work with primary schools to create new playing opportunities Deliver coaching sessions to schools School Liaison Officer 5 Work with CFA to develop girl s football and retain teams. 5 RAISING STANDARDS AND ADDRESSING ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR This section identifies ways in which the club can create a fun and safe environment for everyone involved in its structure. This includes how the club will raise standards of behaviour and ensure a safe and positive environment for children and vulnerable adults. Aim: To promote positive safeguarding procedures with an open culture which respects all individuals rights & strictly discouraging any discrimination 1 Follow FA guidelines and procedures regarding club welfare and safeguarding issues Attend CPD 2 Attend CFA Charter Standard Club Workshops Follow FA guidelines Minimum of two a year Club Welfare Officer County Welfare Officer Nominated club committee / club coach 3 Hold club awards evening to recognise players, members and volunteers 4 To achieve CS Community status and complete annual health check process. 7 BETTER PLAYERS This section identifies how the club will support every player to realise his/ her potential - in particular support the development of skills at a younger age. The five to eleven year old group is absolutely crucial to embedding basic skills, enhancing enjoyment of the game, developing healthy lifestyles and creating a new generation of talented players. Aim: Fundamentally focusing our time and energy to ensure development takes place in all areas of our player s lives, most notably through football. 1 Improve overall and technical development of all players. All round improvement developement Club coaches 2 Introduce Futsal to training to improve technique of players To improve ball skills and control Club coaches 250 Futsal training balls are quite inexpensive 3 Work closely with parents on development areas Encourage parents to practice at home Club coaches 4 All coaches to attend in-service events organised by CFA All coaches to attend Club coaches 5 Five coaches to attend FA Youth Award Module 1 & 2 One coach a year Club secretary 150 per coach Two coaches to attend FA Youth Award Module 3 Two coaches to attend Year two and three 250 per coach 7

8 6 Ensure coaching sessions are differentiated to cater for the needs of individual players Coaches to attend FA Youth Awards 7 Promote girls and boys centres of excellence & PDC s to players Nominate talented players Talented players encouraged to attend trials Club to support Year two and Team managers Club coaches 8 All coaches to maintain emergency aid and safeguarding qualifications Qualifications are maintained Club secretary 200 per year Coaches to have an up-to-date CRB check 9 Introduction of 9v9 format into & U12 age groups 9v9 format introduced two Team managers and coaches Attend CFA in-service events 10 8

9 RUNNING THE GAME This section focuses on the identification of ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of how the club is run. Aim: To ensure that Broomfield Youth is running in accordance with all appropriate laws, rules & regulations. Including effective club structure. 1 Improve club secretary s role and distribution of fixtures Role descriptions to be given and updated To inform parents, coaches and associates of information more effectively. Chairman and club secretary 2 New coaches to be mentored and supported network meeting to be set up Meet quarterly Year two and Football development officer 3 Complete annual health check by given deadline Complete by deadline Charter standard coordinator 4 Head of Football Development to explore within new areas Allow Head of Football Development to identify areas of improvement and growth. Football development and chairman 5 Attend Club Leaders Workshops put on by CFA Attend workshop Nominated committee member 9

11 WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT This section looks at how the club will recruit, train, and develop the workforce that will support the administration, development and promotion of the club. Aim: For all Broomfield Youth coaches and members to develop their effectiveness, increase their job satisfaction and achieve their potential. 1 Recruit volunteers with a high level of experience and qualifications Volunteer co-ordinator in place Chairman 2 Hold coach education days with guest speakers Pay for guest to educate current coaches Chairman TBC 3 Develop a club apprentice promote opportunities for local college students Offer CPD and development for apprentice. A minimum of 4 per year chairman 4 Club officials to receive training on how to use Member Services Nominate four officials to start Club to liaise with county FA 5 All coaches to sign up to FA Licensed Coaches Club All coaches Year one Club secretary / team manager 11

13 FACILITY DEVELOPMENT This section identifies the facilities required by the club to sustain and increase participation. Aim: To continue to provide the best possible facilities for our members & to give our players every opportunity to participate in the sport they love. 1 Continue to gain a good relationship with the home pitch provider. To support Enfield Cricket Club and Chace Community School to maintain facility. 2 Introduction of an Astro facility to maintain and increase interest work with local schools for use of their facilities Develop partnerships with local schools & other organisations for future development Chairman Identify an 11-a-side pitch facility to create further playing opportunities Find a venue to cater for all 11 a side times and ideal day work with local authority Cost?

15 PROMOTION Marketing and PR communication campaigns can play a significant role in helping deliver the key messages of the club around raising standards and safety in the youth section together with promoting the club to its membership and potential new sponsors. Aim: To advertise and portray the club in a positive light to its players, parents and the local community. 1 Social media development to promote club and its achievements Increase interest in the club through Social Media. Local press 2 Educate others on Clubs Charity with offical certification. To promote tournaments, events etc within local press. 3 Promotion of club -create playing and volunteering opportunities To continue to promote the club within the local area and press through the use of promotional material Recognise the good work of the club apply for CFA awards Annual application 5 Hold annual parents evening Monthly newsletters Improve communication with parents 15
