The unit is extremely rugged and ideal for field based applications. It utilizes a remote handheld PDA based digital indicator. The Intelli-Tork measures the torque applied between two flanges and transmits the torque reading to a hand held readout for display and logging. This method of measuring the torque applied is highly accurate. (+/- 0.3%). The torque sensor is built into the housing of the flanged instrument. The data is transferred directly to a handheld military specification PDA or PC Laptop via a 2.4 ghz Wireless Transmitter which is located on the flanged hub. The data is captured by the PDA and is recorded as a text file (DTA). The text file can be viewed on the PDA and downloaded to computer peripheral software such as Microsoft Excel for further custom analysis. The PRO-DIG Intelli-Tork system comprises three parts; a Torque Analyzer Rotor installed on the flanged coupling, a Torque Analyzer PDA indicator and a battery charger unit.
