The soft, wire-brushed finish is a light caramel latte color with subtle lacy white hang up and a gray undertone. Selected pieces have a shimmery metallic accent finish in a lovely champagne color. Mixed media gives a sophisticated casual feel, with mirrored backs on a signature panel bed, bookcase, console and cocktail table, and a stone base on a round dining table, along with a stone-top nightstand. 3 Design Elements Design Classic medallion and fleur-de-lis motifs, along with rope-twist trim, exotic marquetry work and artfully done inlays, come together in Solana to create a collection of casual opulence. Quality Cues Quality from start to finish Of all the aspects of wood furniture, the finish most visibly reflects its character, quality and style. While the finish is one of the last things we do, it s the first thing you see. That s why at Hooker, we utilize a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch. Wood & Veneer Construction Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids and veneers or hand-painted finishes over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Due to a wide variety of wood species and decorative designs used in our furniture styles, variations in construction are possible. Drawer Construction & Operation Finish Solana features a soft, casual wire-brushed finish in a natural wood look.
