1 Company Profile Highland Contracting for Foundations is not your average piling contractor. We offer one of the largest variation of piling works, piled foundations and retaining wall construction. Highland Contracting for Foundations uses several silent and vibrationless piling methods including wet soil mixing, dry soil mixing, press in sheet and tubular piles and secant piling (including hard / hard secant in smaller diameters) to build retaining walls for basement construction and flood defence schemes. Geotechnical Investigation Works Our geotechnical engineers conduct numerous surface and subsurface explorations of a site to obtain data regarding physical properties of the soil and rock surrounding the construction site. We aim to provide accurate data and recommendations to our clients after conducting thorough on field and laboratory testing. Our team of experts consists of highly experienced engineers, geologists, field technicians, schedulers, inspectors, materials testers and laboratory technicians. This team is experienced in the following projects, which they have completed timely and efficiently: Deep and shallow foundation design recommendations Pavement design Retaining wall design Dam design Geological assessment Slope stability Liquefaction potential evaluations Shoring and Anchors Piling Works, Grouting Works And Ground Improvement Techniques We undertake extensive piling work, grouting work and ground improvement techniques to facilitate a smooth construction process. The main benefits of grouting are: To increase the soil stability To control the seepage and ground water during the construction activity To form ground water blocks To restore and reinforce buildings and other structures

2 ABOUT US Established in the year 2005, at Beirut, HIGHLAND CONTRACTING, we are one of the leading companies in the field of civil engineering. Our experience helps us in successfully meeting the demands of varied civil engineering related services including testing, investigation, surveying, design & architectural consultancy and other related areas of civil construction. The services offered include civil engineering surveying, architectural consultancy services, pile load testing, piling works, soil resistivity testing, transmission line survey, plate load testing, grouting works, geotechnical investigation works, rock drilling work, topographical surveying work, piling work, grouting work and ground improvement techniques, civil construction & supervision. Our Journey Initially, we started primarily with Construction works Then in 2007, we developed our engineering in soil investigation and foundation engineering works Development of applied research wing, which produced various applications for Ground Improvement and soils & foundation engineering related matters These included Rammed Stone Columns, Lime Columns, Cement-Bentonite Grouting We established our civil design and consultancy wing Started foundation engineering works namely, RCC bored piles, both by DMC method as well as by auger method Started meeting the remedial measures for distressed structures/buildings Since then, our activities are restricted as per the drawn memorandum, which is described in simple terms, as follows: Geotechnical wing for carrying out all kinds of geotechnical investigation works including rock mechanics & related subject matter Survey wing carrying out all kinds of topographical surveys, hydrological surveys, contour surveys as well as meeting the specialized service demands like roads and transmission line survey Civil and structural engineering design & analysis including Architectural development works and project planning Soil, rock & material testing lab facilities The activities, namely piling works, ground improvement works & remedial measures are taken out from scope of activities of M/s. P K De & Associates Private Limited and entrusted to our associated organizations.

3 Geotechnical Investigation Works: Nature of Job: Conducting Geotechnical investigation of soil including rock It is carried out to determine characteristic of soil & nature of foundation required for construction of buildings/structures Services Delivered By: Professional staff members having extensive experience in conducting geotechnical investigations Service Objectives: To provide clients with complete subsoil & geologic information in addition to providing sound geotechnical engineering recommendation based on: Thorough field investigation Laboratory testing (combined with both theoretical & practical analysis of data) Projects Expertise: Deep and shallow foundation design recommendations Pavement design Retaining wall design Dam design Geological assessment Slope stability Liquefaction potential evaluations Projects Handled: Our team has completed numerous new construction & reconstruction projects consisting of: Industrial facilities Retail centers Warehouses Residential infrastructure Bridge replacement Schools Multi-family developments
