We have planned great adventures to energize your kids and keep them safe while Mom or Dad is working. Kids in grades K-6 will make new friends everyday from 6:30 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. Kids should bring a sack lunch, swimsuit and towel everyday! Players will practice passing, dribbling, shooting and team work! Ages: 2-3 yrs Be part of this fun exciting class for boys and girls where emphasis is placed on the child's development in skills, while also working on gross motor skill development. Parents work side by side with their child to help their child build confidence. *Parent participation is required for this class.* Multi-Sport Class Ages: 4-6 yrs Not sure what sport to try? Come out and try all of the YMCA Youth Sports. We will cover basic gym games, soccer, basketball, and more! Great way to stay active! Monday Wednesday 5:30-6:00p 6:00-6:30p Multi-Sport Multi-Sport 6:30-7:00p Volleyball Friday Volleyball Volleyball Ages: 8-12 yrs This class is for all skill levels who have never played before or want to build on their skills. We will go over passing, setting, serving underhand, calling the ball, and general rules of the game. Sport League Youth League Ages: 4-13 yrs Youth League emphasizes basketball fundamentals including shooting skills, ball handling, passing, footwork, shot selection, rebounding and having proper mental approach. In addition, players will leave with a good understanding of offensive fundamentals and a variety of drills they can perform at home that are designed to enhance personal basketball potential. This class will utilize basic dance techniques to help children learn balance, form, and more! Ages: 3-5 yrs Ages: 3-6 yrs Students will learn the basics of ballet as we discover different movements, techniques and combinations of the dance. Students will continue to build upon rhythm and coordination skills while incorporating more difficult movement. There will be an increase in ballet vocabulary and the class will alternate between center and barre work. Stretching, strengthening and floor exercises are incorporated. Along with the expanded ballet vocabulary, this class places an emphasis on musicality and its movement application. Students will practice dancing alone, with a partner, as a group and for each other while having fun and building self confidence. Hip-Hop movements are percussive and strong. This class is a beginner class for where we will focus on both Hip Hop and Fundamentals! 10:25-10:55a 11:15-11:45a 12:00-12:30p Basic Dance Tap Ages: 6-12 yrs Students will develop dance skills and learn combinations as we make fun and musical rhythms with our feet. This class develops jumps and cheers, works on flexibility and range of motion, and will focus on jumps and mounts. 5:30-6:00p 6:00-6:30p 6:15-6:45p Cheerleading Classes Ages: 2-6 yrs Introduce your child to the basics of gymnastics in a fun, nurturing environment. This program is designed to instill students with the basic tenets of success, integrity, honor, discipline, self confidence and becoming a master of their weakness. Learn the basics tenets of Tae Kwon Do. Golden Dragons This program is great fro developing the young athlete. Kids learn the basis tenets of Tae Kwon Do: discipline, helping others, listening skills, stranger danger, "bully" bootcamp. Students start as White Belts and can earn up to a Blue Belt in this program. Ages: 6 & 7 yrs The KICKS Tae Kwon Do program is for all students 8 and older. You start as a White or Yellow belt and can earn up to a Black Belt in this program. Unlock your potential and learn to master your own weaknesses. Students who have earned a rank at a different school may be able to start at that rank. Class is 2 days a week. Advanced Ages: 8+ yrs Ages: 8+ yrs Already a Yellow or a Green Belt or higher? This program for children aged 8 and older, helps develop weapons defense, take-downs, advanced sparring and forms. You can earn up to a black belt in this program. This art focuses on proven street level tactics that go to the core of self defense. You will learn to fall properly, strike quickly and decisively, and holds to subdue an attacker quickly. 5 YOUTH SWIM LESSONS Swim Lessons (Full Member/Non Member) Parent/Tot... $27/54, Adult/Teen... $33/66 Adult/Teen Swim Lessons Ages: 14+ yrs Whatever your swimming needs are (scared stiff to advance level), our instructors will improve your swimming interests, needs, and skills thus increasing your comfort in the water and your swimming abilities. Private and Semi-Private lessons are also available upon request. Parent/Tot Swim Lessons Ages: 6-36 mos Through songs and play, parent(s)/guardian(s) will learn how to assist the child to be safer and comfortable around the water. If not potty trained, child should wear a swimmers diaper or rubber pants. This class does help prepare the child for Preschool lessons. *Class is 30 minutes Preschool Swim Lessons Ages: 3-5 yrs On the first day of classes, each child will be tested and placed according to their swimming ability. Instructors will then teach through a progression of skills and water safety, helping each child improve individually. If your child cannot use the restroom by themselves, please stay within the viewing area of the pool. Please have your child shower before each lesson - head to toe. Swim Lessons Ages: 6-13 yrs On the first day of classes, each child will be tested and placed according to their swimming ability. Instructors will then teach through a progression of skills and water safety, helping each child improve individually. Please have your child shower before each lesson - head to toe. Flexibility, range of motion, muscle conditioning, improved cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone by using the buoyancy and resistance of the water. This is a great way to workout with no impact or harmful effects on joints/muscles and stay cool. Ideal for all fitness levels, non-swimmers included.
