1 The Board of School Directors of Line Mountain School District will hold a Reorganization Meeting at the Northumberland County Career and Technology Center, West Montgomery Street, Coal Township, PA 17866, on December 7, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the Health Occupation Lab. 6 VIII. ACTION ITEM A. FISCAL (PUBLIC COMMENT) 1. Treasurer s Report A. Be it recommended that the Board approve the Treasurers Cash report and all checks from all funds within the Line Mountain School District for the period ending December 1, 2016 (pages 17-21). B. Be it recommended that the Board approve payment of December 2016 bills subject to ratification at the January 2017 meeting. 2. Exonerations/Appeals for Local Tax Collectors The administration recommends approval of the Exonerations/Appeals of Local Tax Collectors for the 2016 taxes (page 22). 3. Delinquent Tax Exonerations The administration recommends approval of exonerations submitted by Statewide Tax Recovery, Inc. (page 22). 4. Dental Insurance Contract Extension through Be it recommended that the Board approve the extension of the current contract rates with Delta Dental through December 31, Assembly Approval Be it recommended that the Board approve (pending clearances and all required paperwork) an assembly on March 3, 2017 at the Line Mountain Elementary School entitled JUMP FOR LIFE through Bureau of Lectures, Lawrence, KS at a cost of $ Projector Purchase Approval Be it recommended that the Board approve to purchase (4) Epson 97H Projectors to replace projectors out of warranty, and for an empty classroom in the Elementary School for Guidance. Total cost is $1,956 from CDWG of Chicago, IL and will be purchased off CoStars hardware contract COSTARS

7 7. Recycle Approval Be it recommended that the Board approve to send approximately 40 Hewlett Packard and Lenovo laptop chassis to recycling along with 2 monitors and there will be no charge for recycling. Computers and hard drives to be recycled according to state laws by Upcycle LLC of Fairfield, NJ. A detailed list with serial numbers will be provided to the District Office before disposal of equipment High School Prom Approval Be it recommended that the Board approve holding the high school prom at Masser s Catering, Paxinos, PA on May 13, 2017 from 6:30 to 10:30PM. Cost to be determined at a later date with the funds to be taken from the junior class. RECOMMENDED ACTION That the Board of School Directors approve the above fiscal action. Motion to approve Second Action R B. PERSONNEL (PUBLIC COMMENT) 1. Classified Personnel Approval A. Be it recommended that the Board approve the resignation for the purpose of retirement of Helen Vandervoort, teacher aide at the Line Mountain Elementary School effective December 31, B. The administration recommends approval of the employment of Nicole Kurtz (pending all required paperwork) as a special education aide for the Line Mountain School District at a salary of $8.00 for 6.5 hours per day effective December 8, C. The administration recommends approval of the employment of Nancie Miller (pending all required paperwork) as a special education aide for the Line Mountain School District at a salary of $8.00 for 6.5 hours per day effective December 8, D. The administration recommends approval of the employment of Faith Leiser (pending all required paperwork) as a special education aide for the Line Mountain School District at a salary of $8.00 for 6.5 hours per day effective December 8,

Work Beyond the School Day Approval Be it recommended that the Board approve Holly Scheib for work beyond the school day for 2 hours for preparation on 5 th grade curriculum planning at the LMEA contracted price of $25.00 per hour for the school year. 3. Volunteer Approval The administration recommends approval (pending all required paperwork) for habilitation counselor, Brooklynn Marquette-Hulsizer from Sentry Services and Supports as an additional support counselor for Lucas Hoffman as he volunteers as a cafeteria worker at the Line Mountain Middle High School Support Personnel Approval The administration recommends approval (pending working papers and or clearances) of the following support personnel for the school year effective July 1, 2016: Statistician/Scorekeeper/Clock Operator Kayla Sgrignoli 5. Coaches/Advisors Approval The administration recommends approval (pending all required paperwork) of Wolfgang Downs as a Volunteer Wrestling Coach at no cost to the district for the school year. 6. Substitute Classified Personnel Approval The administration recommends approval (pending all required paperwork) for the following classified personnel for the school year: Name Position Salary Cristie Stiely Substitute Teacher Aide $7.25 That the Board of School Directors approve the above personnel action. Field Trip Approval The administration recommends approval of Field Trips for the school year (page ). 3. Second Reading of Policy Approval Be it recommended to approve second reading of the following policies: 004, Membership (pages ) 104, Nondiscrimination in Employment/Contract Practices (pages ) RECOMMENDED ACTION That the Board of School Directors approve the above policy and program action.
