General Description RunCore Pro IV 2.5" PATA Solid State Drive (SSD) incorporates advanced flash controller and NAND flash memory technology to deliver a state-of-the-art, non-volatile mass storage device. It supports capacity from 64GByte to 128GByte. 2.5" PATA SSD contains the cache size of up to 64M with maximum transfer rate as high as 80MByte/s. Furthermore, its characteristics of low power consumption and anti-vibration are obvious. RunCore 2.5" PATA SSD has standard 44-pin IDE/ATA interfaces. These product is fully ATA-7 compliant and conform to the same mechanical and mounting requirements as standard rotating disk drives, which supports all major operating systems such as Windows9X/Me/NT/XP/CE/Vista, MAC, Linux and Unix, Solaris, Vxworks. The RunCore SSD is easy-to-install, drop-in replacements for standard IDE/ATA-compliant hard disk drives (HDD). Therefore, it is an ideal storage device for commercial users' mobile PC. 3

Interface 4.1 Support mode The SSD interface complies with ATA-2/ATA-3/ATA-4/ATA-5/ATA-6/ATA-7 and supports the following data transfer mode. 1.Ultra DMA mode: DMA mode: PIO mode: Jumper Settings Pin location of RCP-IV-P25XX-MC5: If all pins A, B, C, D are open, the driver is in slave mode. If pin A is jumpered to pin C, the driver is in master mode. 8

9 If pin C is jumpered to pin D, the driver mode is determined by the Note: In multiple driver configurations, it may become necessary to establish master driver and slave driver. 11 5. Physical Dimensions Figure3 shows the exterior dimensions of the 2.5-inch form factor with the relative dimensions of the mounting holes. Careful attention should be made to the length of the mounting screws and the recommended torque to prevent damage to the SSD.
