18 Our six rules at Blindern : 1. Be punctual for lessons 2. Come to lessons prepared and with all necessary materials 3. Always deliver work on time 4. Maintain focus on your subjects and be orderly during lessons 5. Leave classrooms tidy and keep the School clean 6. Be friendly and respectful of your fellow pupils and the School s staff

19 New absenteeism regulations for MYP5 and Diploma programme The new rules are to be found in the regulations to the Education Act 3-3 last paragraph and the regulations to the Private schools Act 3-3 last paragraph. Students in upper secondary school shall attend and participate actively in all planned school activities. If a student has more than 10 percent undocumented absence in a subject this will lead to the loss of a right to a term grade or final/end of year evaluation in that subject. The teacher will be unable to award a grade in that subject. The student must produce relevant documentation to have their absence exempt from this rule.

20 If a student has between 10 and 15 percent undocumented absence and the cause of that absence makes it unreasonable that the student should not receive a grade, the Principal may according to the circumstances decide that a grade be awarded. If the undocumented absence exceeds 15 percent in the subject no grade will be awarded. The absenteeism percent is valid for an individual subject, not the student's overall absence. The student shall receive a letter of warning that they are in danger of not gaining a grade in the particular subject.
