1 Problems Logging into your squid Account? We have had a few queries from Parents who have had issues logging into their squid account. These have mainly been due to forgotten usernames or passwords. If you encounter similar issues the first point of contact should be squid themselves. You can contact squid by clicking the squid Login link on the Vyners School Website. There is a help link on the first page. Clicking on the squid help link will take you to the help pages. From here you can click on logging in troubleshooting
2 On this page are listed the various issues you may encounter when logging in. Just follow the instructions pertaining to the issue you are experiencing. If none of the options fit your issue then you can use the contact us link on the left side of the web page which will allow you to give details of the problem and someone from Squid will get back to you. 3 Using squid Top tips October 2012 Here is some guidance to help you get the best out of the online payment system: Don t forget there are two separate purses one for catering, one for school trips and other offers. If you put the money in the wrong purse by mistake (eg you intended to pay for a trip, but topped up the catering account instead), this cannot be swapped in school. Such transfers can only be made by squid. Trips will only be visible on the system for a limited period. This is because the school needs to pay for certain items in advance and a decision needs to be made as to whether a trip is financially viable. If insufficient students pay before the deadline, a trip may have to be cancelled. It is therefore vital that parents / carers pay for items promptly, and before the deadline given.
4 How To Make Payment for Trips and Offers Using squid. Type in URL : to get to the log in screen. Sign into your account using the box on the right hand side Enter your unique Username and click Arrow On the next screen, you will be asked to enter certain characters from your password, and the answer to your memorable question. This page will then show.
5 To pay for a trip, click on the view offers button under select school trips and offers When paying for a trip, you need to specifically select the item you wish to pay for (see screen shot on next page). If you do not select a specific item, the money will go into your son s / daughter s trips purse, but will not pay for anything specific and they will not be marked as having paid.
6 Click the grey check box associated with the item you paying for. Click make payment. We recommend that you do not filter trips and offers. Some trips cover more than one year group and applying a filter may remove that item from the list visible on screen. Please simply scroll down your screen to see all items. Once you have paid for a trip, the squid system will send you a receipt to the address you gave when you first registered.

8 Paying for items under 10 The UK banking system routinely levies a charge for all online payments under 10 in value. At the moment, a trips/other offers top up cannot be added to a catering top up to avoid the charge. We have raised this with Squidcard and they are looking into building this into a future version of the software. In the meantime, this 25p charge can be avoided as follows: Add money to the general trips and other offers purse by selecting the second option on the menu Select top up using a debit or credit card
9 Type 10 (or larger) into the following screen. Click add and then next.
10 Complete the top up process by completing your credit card details in the usual way. Debit card transactions are free, credit cards will incur a charge. This process has added credit to your generic trips and other offers account. To complete the transaction, you must return to the front page, where your credit should now be showing. Click on the trips and other offers purse and select a particular trip or offer in order to make payment. Any change will remain on the system ready to be spent next time. January 2013
