Based on your bike s performance, its price and space available we have designed a shock that we think suits it, both when it comes to price and performance. We start by choosing a type which we tailor-make for your specific bike. The basic setup, both the design of the shim stacks and the calibration of the adjusters, is tested both on road and track. They are the results of true tests with your bike and no guesswork! Öhlins manufactures more than 300 different shock absorber models, each model is tailor-made for one specific bike. The concept of all Öhlins products is not a secret, it is precision. Precision provides superior control of the damping force and the key to our success.

3 Shock Absorber - Types and Adjustments R1+C1 Start by finding out which shock absorber fits your bike. R1+C1 P CSC* T44PR1C1 TTX44 Then, with help from the Öhlins type system you can identify which type of shock absorber it is and also see which adjustment features it has. * The CSC (Chassis Stability Control) function enables the rider to set up the bike for different track conditions. The chassis is tuned with the low speed movements which are controlled via the CSC valve. This feature is only available on TTX44 shocks. Your shock absorber may look different from the one on the image below. The reservoir may be angled to fit your bike and a horizontal reservoir is used on some models. The new MX Front Fork Cartridge kit is based on TTX technology which means a positive pressure balance in the system, thanks to the twin tube technology. The gas pressurized dividing piston inside does an excellent job pushing the hydraulic fluid back into the low pressure side and the end result is better performance and no more cavitation. For 2010, the cartridge kit features a new one way rebound valve to completely separate the compression and rebound damping, for improved performance and better wheel control. The Cartridge Kit 85cc is based on the design and experience gained from the powerful and popular Cartridge Kit for the bigger MX bikes but it does not hold a TTX design as the outer tubes are smaller but it features the well proven hydraulic stop design for bottoming resistance. Despite that fact the new 85cc Cartridge Kit is pressurized which means that the damping response is much quicker and the dynamic behaviour is superior to standard, non pressurized systems on the market. 6

10 MX & Enduro Steering Damper Kits MX Steering Damper The new silhouette is a result of a much easier way of mounting the damper under the handlebar. The new steering damper is now equipped with a completely new valving system, eliminating any fluctuation of the damping characteristics depending on making a left or a right turn. The new UniFlow feature is actually a system that controls the flow of the hydraulic fluid into only one direction hence the new fluctuation free damping curve. 11 ATV TTX30 ATV Front Shock Absorbers (AT-kit) Photo: H Foley The TTX30 shocks are developed together with Bill Ballance and have already won numerous of GNCC races in the USA. The shocks are available in four different lengths and together with six different end-eyes, lengths from 368mm to 505mm in steps of 6mm (14 ½ to 20 in steps of ¼ ) are covered. The shocks come pre-assembled and main springs together with the end-eye has to be ordered separately to suite each rider s preferences. It is possible to change both length and stroke without disassembling the shocks by using the different end eyes and the new stroke spacer system allowing the customer to choose and fine tune the wheel travel. 16 Road&Track 2010 TTX The new upgraded TTX36 is based on the successful products used in MotoGP, WSBK, AMA in This new version is tuned to perfection with fresh valves for more consistent and improved dynamic behaviour and inside, a completely new piston guarantees for less internal friction. As a reminder of the racing heritage the damper is now improved with attachments for stroke sensors at the cylinder head and end-brackets. Features: Integrated Hydraulic Preload adjuster. All adjustments made at top of the shock absorber. FGR 000 The FGR 000 is the very essence of front fork technology and is based on last year s successful predecessor FGR 900.
