1 Surya-Mitra Skill Development Program 90 days training starting from 23 August, 2016 Overview SR has been given the privilege to conduct the Suryamitra Skill Development Program initiated by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), an autonomous institute of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, has established Solar Energy Training Network (SETNET) to meet the training needs of solar professionals. This initiative is in collaboration with the Indo-U.S. bilateral Partnership to Accelerate Clean Energy Deployment Technical Assistance (PACE-D TA) Program. In due process, NISE has accredited SR Corporate Consultant Pvt. Ltd. (SR) as their training partner under SETNET program. Under this SR is authorized to conduct the skill development program to create and nurture skilled "Suryamitras" in Installation, Commissioning and O&M in the field of Solar Energy. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has initiated this program with the intent to create 50,000 Suryamitras across the country, skilled in installation, commissioning and O&M in the field of renewable energy with the special focus on solar. Each training program consists of 30 participants and the total duration of the training will be 3 months (600 hours). The participants will also be given training on marketing & entrepreneurship skill so that they will become the campaigners of solar energy. The training program will be strictly residential with a clear daily time. 2 Selection of the participants The candidate with the essential qualification will be eligible, however preference will be given to the candidates as indicated below: Essential Qualification: The candidate should be 10+2 pass and not below 18 years Selection would be on the merits of the student; for selection grades in ITI/Diploma will be considered Top 30 participants shall awarded 100% scholarship Preferable: It is also preferred that trainee should have certificate of ITI or diploma in engineering branches Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics; experience in certified electrician is also preferred. Persons with higher qualifications like degree in any discipline or higher may be considered based on availability of Seats Important Dates: Application form must reach SR s office latest by 14 th August, 2016 Announcement of list of participant selected on 20 th August, 2016 Facilities: Sponsored 30 participants For this 3 months workshop participants need not to pay anything, all infrastructure, accommodation & food related arrangement during the training period will be taken care by SR & MNRE (NISE).
