The regional centres in the area, Lewes and Haywards Heath are approximately 11 and 16.5 miles respectively, both with mainline train services to London. The coastal, business and entertainment centre of Brighton & Hove is some 23 miles. The property Understood to have originally formed part of the Possingworth Farm Estate, the house is thought to date from either the 1920 s or 1930 s with later additions. The house presents attractive mellow sandstone elevations and internally has a lovely light and airy feel, with large windows and high ceilings. Features within the house include a pretty fanlight above the front door, black and white tile floors, panelled doors, wide skirtings, picture rails, polished oak floors and a number of attractive fireplaces.

To one side of the entrance drive are two garages and two car ports attached to which is a lean-to work shop and a substantial sandstone and tile outbuilding divided into two rooms. It is thought that subject to obtaining any necessary consents it may be possible to convert/adapt this sandstone building to provide a lakeside home office/studio. There is an additional garage attached to one side of the house. The gardens and grounds at the Dower House provide a wonderful setting for the property and benefit from some superb unspoilt views over the surrounding countryside. About 5 acres.
