8 Booking Policy 1. Saturday and Sunday tee times are blocked for Member use until 11:30am. 2. The first 90 minutes of tee times on weekends/holidays are blocked for adult Member play only. This time period for Members Only may be extended at the discretion of the Golf Shop. Members are welcome to bring guests anytime after this reserved period as availability allows. 3. When booking a Member time, all players in the group (including guests) must be identified. 4. Member access to weekend/holiday tee times is through the ballot system. The ballot draw is done Sunday afternoon for the following weekend play, including statutory holidays, for play falling in the next 5 11 days. Ballot submission may be done in person or through the Golf Shop by telephone up to 3:00pm every Sunday. Statutory holiday booking policies will override regular Member block times. 5. All players names must be completed on a ballot, and the first name on each ballot (the captain of the group) shall be responsible for the tee time. Therefore, the responsibility for changing players within a group, or cancelling the tee time, will rest with the captain. 6. Any weekend tee times remaining after the ballot draw has been completed may be booked on Monday (after 7:00am) by calling the Golf Shop 7. Juniors may play during Member block times by adult Member invite only. 8. Guest rates only apply for those guests playing in a group with a Member. They do not apply if a Member books a time for a friend. If the group exceeds a foursome the guest rate will only apply to those guests playing in the tee time slot with the Member not the whole group. Guest rate applies when applicable and cannot be combined with any special offer. 9. Each guest may play a maximum of one round with a Member per calendar month. 10. 9 Rules & Etiquette RCGA RULES GOVERN ALL PLAY Play is governed by the 2012 Royal Canadian Golf Association Rules of Golf and the 2012 decisions, along with the Local Rules as laid out on the Scorecard and where applicable, by the following Local Rules and Conditions of the Competition. LOCAL RULES 1. Out of Bounds: The driving range is out of bounds. The border of the range is defined by the inside edge of the poles which support the net. (The inside is the course side.) The poles and the net are NOT obstructions. If you hit a ball toward the net, it is recommended to hit a provisional ball. Rule 27 Penalty stroke and distance. 2. Embedded Ball: The embedded ball rule is extended to apply through the green. (Except in loose sand) 3. Integral Parts of the Golf Course: The railroad ties which define the margins of the water hazards are integral and not obstructions. 4. Stakes and Wires Supporting Trees: These are obstructions, but there is no relief from the tree itself, unless there is also interference by the obstruction. 5. Distance Measuring Devices: Devices that measure distance only may be used. This includes the club GPS systems, some other GPS systems, and many laser range finders. These devices may not measure other conditions that might affect play, such as wind speed, temperature, gradient etc. 6. Water Hazards: All water hazards are lateral water hazards. Railway ties are considered within the hazard. Rule Power Lines: Ball striking power lines must be replayed. No penalty. 8. Greens: Double green margins are divided by yellow post. All balls must be dropped from foreign greens. Rule No penalty. 9. Breaking ties in match play: Play shall continue, starting at hole number one, and keep going until someone wins a hole. The one who wins a hole shall be the winner. Handicap strokes will be assigned on the same holes they were during the original 18 holes. ETIQUETTE To keep Mayfair Lakes a pleasurable experience for all we ask you to please follow these rules: 1. Please replace divots, repair ball marks on greens and rake sand traps. 2. Pull carts and power carts are not permitted on tees or beyond lines marked in front of greens. 3. Proper golf attire should be worn at all times. Collared shirt or high neck shirts required, no denims, cut offs, or sweat pants. 4. Please try to keep up to the group ahead of you. Slower players must allow faster players to play through. 5. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your tee time to allow time to check in and make your way to the first tee.
