2 About us The South African Food Safety Corporation (SAFSCO) with its division Ukukhula TM Human Development is one of Africa s premier privately owned training and human development companies. In addition to delivering internationally recognised training programmes, as a food safety organisation, we also deliver a range of practical short courses for clients who require more focussed training programmes. 7 Food Safety Assurer TM programme Ukukhula TM -trained Food Safety Assurers TM (FSA) will fully integrate with your business requirements and will commonly function in more than one job capacity. Cost-effective and highly productive, Food Safety Assurers TM have the training and operational skills to be an asset to your establishment. Through the programme large numbers of Food Safety Assurers TM are placed in various food sectors. With an FSA, host units can effectively ensure that operational food safety requirements are met. The programme management takes care of all payroll functions for the FSAs including administrative functions. FSAs are trained and up-skilled to ensure the best possible service is provided to host units. The programme promotes BEE through stakeholders commitment of education and skills advancement for the unemployed youth. All FSAs are mentored on a weekly basis by industry professionals. The FSA implements a full comprehensive food safety management programme over a period of 1 year.

8 Certified Food Safe Destinations Establishments that successfully complete the Farm to Fork food safety management programme are then added onto our Certified Food Safe Destinations database. Once on our database, establishments gain credibility to showcase their commitment towards food safe handling practices which, in turn instills consumer confidence. Through this programme, local, national and international tourism will benefit by using Certified Food Safe Destinations for their culinary experiences.

Günther is currently KZN Regional Chairman of the South African Chefs Association. His knowledge and expertise of 35 years and his role in the development of truly 21 st century food service operations has been recognised by many industry associations and professionals. Graham Sandford Managing Director A renowned food safety expert, with many years of experience in Europe and South Africa, Graham s wealth of knowledge and expertise contributes towards achieving localised HACCP compliance, in an ever demanding and challenging industry environment. With Günther s and Graham s wealth of expertise, the South African Food Safety Corporation TM can assist in all aspects of the food and beverage sector from Farm to Fork (i.e. from raw produce to the point of consumption).
