3 Beekeeping A COMPANY Beeworx is a South African beekeeping company that was founded by my father in Initially the business consisted of seasonal raw honey, which we bottled and labelled according - + to the South African habitats they originated from. Some of the honey came from our own harvest, and the rest from local beekeepers we supported. Honesty, generosity and purity are the principles on which we built our business. From the very beginning our focus was on sustainability, with minimal wastage of by-products. After researching and experimenting with the different uses of honey and its by-products, we soon ventured into natural skin care. Pure, clean beeswax collected from the caps of honey combes is one of the biggest by-products of a beekeeping business - and it also turns out to be a skin care wonder product. We develop all our skin care products ourselves, and it is all hand made with generosity and love. I enjoy searching for the best organic ingredients and ensuring that all ingredients are natural active ingredients. We do not use fillers, chemicals or synthetic ingredients nor do we do or support animal testing of any form. We do use recyclable packaging, natural ingredients, plant based oils, therapeutic grade essential oils, as well as several other organic ingredients. We are passionate about sustainable, organic products that are good for you and good for the environment.

4 A Raw Beauty PROJECT Honeybees produce a natural wax, secreting it from glands on the sides of their bodies. The wax is scraped off, chewn, and secreted inside the honeycomb. Here it hardens into a protective lining for the cells where baby bees are grown and honey is stored. + Beeswax protects the human skin without suffocating or clogging pores. Beeswax is humectant; it attracts and preserves moisture, and ensures long term hydration. Beeswax also has powerful anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and ant-viral attributes.

5 PURE INGREDIENTS Shea Butter - Shea Butter is considered to be a super food for your skin. It is rich in unsaturated fats and contains large quantities of essential fatty acids, vitamins E and D, phytosterols, provitamin A and allantoin. It has been used for hundreds of years in skin care for both adults and children. It also has Anti-aging properties and restores elasticity to the skin. Like beeswax Shea Butter also has healing properties due to the high volumes of vitamins A and F. Legend has it that the famous Egyptian queen, Nefertiti, owed her beauty to the use of beeswax as a beauty product. These oils have chemical profiles close to that of human sebum, and effectively moisturises and enhances collagen production and prevents premature aging. +
