2 Get out your clubs for the 31 st ZLC Foundation Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, July 11th, 2016 at Richmond Country Club. The event is presented by ZLC Financial in partnership with CAFE Vancouver and is made possible through the support of sponsors and volunteers. Over the years, the charity tournament has raised over $1,111,480 for beneficiaries of the Foundation. Past beneficiaries include Kids Up Front, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This year, we are supporting BC Women s Hospital Foundation s Newborn ICU Campaign, which focuses its research, teaching and care for babies born prematurely and with critical illnesses. This tournament has evolved into one of the premier golf events of the season. The blend of clients and friends creates an event that our players and sponsors look forward to every year. We are privileged to host the tournament at Richmond Country Club, which has been the venue of choice for a number of local and provincial championships throughout the years. 5 BC Women s Hospital Foundation BC Women s Hospital BC Women s Hospital + Health Centre is BC s chosen referral centre to meet the comprehensive healthcare needs of women and newborns providing the highest level of care to moms facing high-risk pregnancies and births, and babies who need lifesaving intensive care. Helping Critically Ill Babies Critically ill babies from around BC receive the advanced, often life-saving medical care they need at BC Women s Newborn Intensive Care Unit. The 60-bed unit is the largest, most advanced and specialized newborn critical care facility in BC, staffed by a diverse group of highly experienced neonatal specialists. Newborn ICU Leading-edge care requires leading-edge equipment. At BC Women s Newborn ICU, their equipment is getting old and needs to be replaced. To continue to provide the very best life-saving care to BC s critically ill babies they need to give their medical specialists the state-of-the-art tools and technologies they need to do what they do best save babies lives.

6 Tournament Format The format for this year s event will consist of teams of four players. Each player will play their own golf ball and the two best net scores on each hole will count towards the team score. Richmond Country Club makes it much more enjoyable when you can play your own ball. All players will be provided with a shared power cart and will have a hole assigned to them as their starting location. The event will begin with registration at 12 noon and lunch will be provided. Shotgun is at 1:00 pm. With a maximum field of 128 golfers, we should complete play within 4 ½ hours. A top-notch dinner will follow the tournament with recognition given to all our generous sponsors.
