2 P.S. 196Q A School with a Heart th Grade Student Dues As this school year begins, we want to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful families for their involvement and support over the years. We appreciate all of you who have volunteered, served on the P.A. and shown support for our school staff. We are proud of the way our families partner as we work to create an excellent school. Please send $60 as dues for your child. Payments are due no later than January 2, Please send cash or checks, payable to: PA of PS196, Attn: Bethany Thomas Fifth grade dues will be used to help us create hard cover yearbooks, a booster ad congratulating your child, a senior t shirt, a DVD photo montage, a graduation party and a gift. Your child will receive all these things at the end of this year. Know that we have done research to make sure we are getting the best prices and are doing fundraising events to supplement the costs. 3 YEARBOOK INFORMATION WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are working on a layout for our graduating 5 th graders Yearbook. This is a wonderful keepsake, which will capture your child s memories at PS 196Q! PHOTOGRAPHS! We need plenty of photographs for collages, various sections and layouts we are creating as well as special pieces we are adding this year. Please take time over the next months and especially over the holiday break to review photographs of your child and his/her friends throughout the years. We want to include pictures from class parties, school trips and other special events. All photos need to be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than January 2, BABY PICTURE! We need a baby picture, of your child, from when they were 1 years old or younger. If you do not have a digital version, please scan these pictures to submit. If you are unable to scan, please James Faller at ps1965thgradephotos@gmail.com to make arrangements for them to be scanned and uploaded. Please submit these baby photos by January 2, EARLY YEARS BEFORE P.S. 196! We need pictures of your child from their Kindergarten years through present If your child has not been here for their entire elementary education, please submit candid shots of your child alone or with students of this school only. Please submit these baby photos by January 2, PHOTO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: photos to James Faller at ps1965thgradephotos@gmail.com Subject MUST include Childs Name, Class # and Year photo was taken (kindergarten, 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th or 5 th grade) and contact information in case the staff needs additional information OR Submit thumb drives or DVDs. Send them in an envelope with your child to school, ATTN: James Faller (Chloe Faller), Class 503. Include a note in the envelope with the Childs Name, Class # and Year photo was taken (kindergarten, 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th or 5 th grade) and contact information in case the staff needs additional information At least 5 megapixels are best for these photo files. Most cell phones don t have enough megapixels. The files need to be at least 300ppi, scan at minimum dpi. Files must be JPG, TIF or PNG STUDENT QUESTIONNAIRE! Please have your child fill out the attached questionnaire and return it to the school by January 2, PARENT BOOSTER (MESSAGES)! Boosters are a great way for families to congratulate their child and/or the entire class of 2014 on their promotion to Middle School. Please return the Booster message sheets when the children return to school from winter break on January 2, Each family receives one free Booster.
