Ever since I was a teenager, I loved wearing my dad s and, later, my husband s worn-in, button-down shirts, Claridge recalls. The problem was, while the sleeve length might work, the tails were too short. Or perhaps it was roomy enough, but the cuffs extended past your fingertips. Claridge, a former style editor, worked on prototype after prototype to get the proportions right on the slightly oversized button-down shirt. Fascinated by English Savile Row suiting and shirting, Claridge + King pays homage to the tradition of tailoring, while adding a soft, feminine twist to classic men s styles made expressly for women.
