Sports activities are, in fact, the core of the programme, with the opportunity to specialize in an agreed discipline or to approach every day a different sport. Our highly qualified instructors, with the support of the teachers, will alternate theoretical notions and practical activities, with also the opportunity if there are enough participants to organize some mini-tournaments not based on competition, but just to play and have fun. 6 SNOW CROSS COUNTRY Very close to the Sports Village there is the fantastic cross country skiing trail, where Nordic ski champions like De Zolt, Fauner and Piller Cottrer usually train. The 15km loop, which is considered the most beautiful of the Dolomites, crosses the whole Sappada valley and is suitable for both beginners and professional athletes. It is divided into smaller loops, each one belonging to a different level of difficulty. Our highly qualified instructors will introduce students to the world of cross country through simple and exciting exercises, in cooperation with Sappada Ski School. BIATHLON It is a Nordic Ski discipline, which combines cross country skiing with rifle target shooting. The biathlon centre is located at a short distance from the Ge.Tur. Village and offers loops of various lengths and a 30 station shooting range. Students will have the chance to try this combined sport in total safety, thanks to qualified instructors who will alternate theory - with the presentation of the equipment and devices - and practice on the trails. In cooperation with the Monte Coglians Sports Association. WINTER NORDIC WALKING Nordic Walking - a sport that can also be practiced on tracks that start from the Piani di Luzza Ge.Tur. Village in the Wintertime has evolved in this completely new discipline, which keeps all the benefits of the Nordic Walking, but it is performed on different tracks that offer you unique views and emotions! Thanks to the qualified instructors of the Nordic Walking Italian School and to a specific equipment, pupils will experience Nordic Walking with a perfect rolling movement even on groomed snow trails. They will participate in tours according to their age and level of preparation, considering the difficulty of the track and the duration of the tour. NEVELANDIA Nevelandia is the big snow theme park in Sappada, where everybody finds a special dimension where to move freely. It is nearly 70,000 square metres large, and it boasts various tracks of different difficulty levels to practice bobsledding and snow tubing.
