1 3M Prefabricated Crowns Conversion and Order Guide A comprehensive guide to ordering 3M Prefabricated Crowns.
2
3 Introduction 3M Prefabricated Crowns are available in many forms for a variety of single unit applications. They are a viable method of single unit temporization for both short and long term coverage. Benefits of prefabricated crowns include ease-of-use and time savings. Using the 3M Prefabricated Crown Conversion and Order Guide This guide has been designed to quickly and easily identify each crown type and corresponding key traits. In addition, the guide will facilitate ordering crown kits, crown refills, and crown instruments. Each crown type has a separate section in this guide that includes the following: 3M Polycarbonate Crown Conversion Chart Key crown characteristics and photograph 3M Polycarbonate Crowns Coverage Short- or long-term Dentition Permanent Selection Anterior and bicuspid 3M Polycarbonate Crowns C180 Kit Crown drawer only: C-000 Key Traits Polycarbonate resin with microglass fibers Strong and durable Contours and crimps similar to metal crowns Esthetic U62 shade 3M Polycarbonate Bosworth Caulk MESIAL DISTAL WIDTH IN MM U P P E R C E N T R A L S LM6 RM6 E3 E LM5 RM LM4 RM4 D3 D LM3 RM LM2 RM2 C3 C M Polycarbonate Crown Conversion Chart Upper Right CENTRALS Upper Left LM1 RM1 B3 B A3 A4 Upper Right LATERALS Upper Left U P P E R L A T E R A L S Upper and Lower Right CUSPIDS Upper and Lower Left FIRST BICUSPIDS SECOND BICUSPIDS RL4 E2 E RL3 D2 D2 LOWER INCISORS (LONG) LOWER INCISORS (SHORT) RL2 C2 B2 C2 B RL1 A2 A C U S P I D S (continued on page 4) LC4 RC4 E1 E LC3 RC3 D1 D6 2 An enlarged crown order form which has been designed to identically match the configuration of each crown drawer. 3 A conversion chart including a cross-reference to assist in determining the correct crown size relative to a specific mesial/distal width. Additional Information For additional information on the clinical technique for 3M prefabricated crowns, please see the companion booklet 3M Prefabricated Crown User Guide.
