2 Knowing languages is now more important than ever Spanish is the world's second most spoken language, after Chinese, and is the second most used language in international communication. 18 million students study Spanish as a foreign language. Spanish is the mother tongue of approximately 426 million people in the world and is the official language in 21 countries. THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO LEARN SPANISH IN SPAIN TEACHERS We have a dynamic team of teachers who love teaching Spanish. They are university graduates in teaching Spanish to foreigners and They have and extensive experience in this field. They use modern materials and methods and ensure that the lessons are interesting and entertaining. This is achieved by having an academic department where the Head of Studies coordinates a broad team of teachers. METHODOLOGY Classes are taught in small groups, we keep the number of students per class low (minimum 3, maximum 10), so that the teachers can meet the needs of each and every one of them, individually, and are available in levels that range from beginner to advanced, following the guidelines described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as stated in the Instituto Cervantes guidelines. We place special emphasis on the progressive acquisition of the four aspects of language learning (oral and written comprehension, and oral and written communication) with the goal of adapting teaching to the individual needs of each student. Certificate At the end of the course, students are given an attendance certificate indicating the course taken, the number of hours of study and the level reached. To obtain this certificate, the student must attend 80% of classes.

3 COURSES INTENSIVE COURSE 20 HOURS The intensive course provides the ideal combination to learn and consolidate the contents learnt. In addition to using the four skills, several hours a week will be focused to put into practice what they learned. INTENSIVE COURSE 25 HOURS If you want to have an extra lesson everyday focusing only on culture, this is the course for you. The course is designed for students wanting to push their Spanish learning to the limits. The course consists of 20 hours of intensive course and an hour of culture class. SUPERINTENSIVE COURSE 20 HOURS+ 5 PRIVATE LESSONS This combination of lessons consists of an intensive Spanish class, as well as a one-on-one class every day. The daily individual class to resolve doubts they may have, practicing knowledge they have already acquired in the intensive course, or perfecting any specific aspect of the Spanish language. The course consists of 20 intensive lessons + 5 individual lessons. IMMERSION COURSE This course is designed for students who wish to develop their communication and linguistic skills in a very intensive course. It is a combination of the Intensive 25 course and private lessons. There are 6 lessons per day, 5 in a group and 1 private. The private lessons are intended to deal with the specific needs of each student. 20 intensive lessons+ 5 culture class+ 5 individual lessons ONE TO ONE One to one classes whatever their level may be. The student decides which aspects will be addressed in the classroom. They are ideal to practice any specific aspect of the Spanish language. Our teaching teams adapt to the needs and professional or educational objectives of each student. The course consists of the bundle of individual lessons that you choose. DELE DELE is the only official certificate for Spanish of the Spanish Department of Education in Spain and it is administered by Instituto Cervantes. DELE examinations are offered at six different levels which meet the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Our course is focused in classes in which students know and assimilate the contents required at each level and develop techniques to pass the exam.

5 PRACTICAL INFORMATION Being the third largest city in Spain, Valencia has been ranked among the best top 10 cities to visit in the world for 2011 by Lonely Planet. Within Europe Valencia ranks number one. On the Mediterranean coast you can enjoy the beach more than 8 months of the year. In addition, Valencia s traditional link with the sea has been strengthened by the water sports event par excellence: the Americas Cup in 2007 and A city with more than 2000 years of history which can be seen in its historic district, one of the biggest old city centers in Europe. With one of the best climates all over Spain (an average annual daytime temperature higher than 71º F 22º C), you can swim in the sea during at least 8 months of the year. The fact that Valencia has two major universities and almost hundred thousand students is clearly reflected in its social life and its distinct night life. The city is a popular destination for students from all over the world to spend their semester or year abroad. VALENCIA CITY BICYCLES VALENBISI Valenbisi service will consist of bicycles distributed around 275 stations and set up in different strategic parts of the city to promote the use of bicycles and its integration into the transport chain. Users will be able to hire a bicycle in any of the stations and return it in any of the other 275 available around de the city. The first 30 minutes of use are free on every bicycle. This service will be running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; excluding those days in which other events of the city may not make it work. FOOD AND DRINK Horchata and Fartons Horchata (called 'Orxata' in Valencian language) is a popular soft drink from Valencia and fartons is a kind of bread, together are so good. Horchata is made from 'chufa' (it's a root). Arabs brought chufa from Egipt (700 BC). Note horchata from Valencia is not the same as in Mexico (made from rice). There are a number of 'horchaterias' in Valencia, the most famous of which is opposite the Iglesia y Torre de Santa Catalina in the corner of Plaza de la Reina. Paella If there's one Valencian dish that everyone's heard of it's paella. In Valencia, you can order chicken, rabbit, shellfish, vegetable and even mixed paellas. In Valencia, rice is cooked in a thousand different ways, all equally delicious.

6 ATRACTIONS CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES The City of Arts and Sciences is an ensemble of six areas in the dry river bed of the now diverted River Turia in Valencia, Spain. Designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava and started in July 1996, it is an impressive example of modern architecture. A versatile space that will allow the holding of varied events. Surrounded by attractive streams and pools of water, it and the surrounding areas of the "city" are typically used as a relaxing place to walk day or night, with an open air bar outside El Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe during the evening. THE PORT AND THE BEACH PLAZA DE LA VIRGEN Valencia was hosting of the 32nd America's Cup, the international yact race, in summer Visit the Puerto and enjoy with the team bases, the house of America's Cup and the port sheds. After, walk by the promenade seafront in the Playa Las Arenas and Playa La Malvarrosa. The Plaza de la Virgen sits on the site that once was the forum of Roman Valencia. It is surrounded by impressive buildings and home to lots of pigeons. You can't miss the impressive Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados on the eastern side of the square, and on the western side is the Gothic Palau de la Generalitat, the seat of government for the Valencia region. Also in the square there are some cafes with plenty of outside seating for the obligatory people watching. LONJA DE LA SEDA The Silk Market is the main monument of the city and a masterpiece of civil Gothic architecture. The building has been declared by UNESCO as part of Humanity's Heritage. TORRES DE SERRANO AND QUART The Towers of Serranos are one of the former 12 front doors of Valencia, when it was a walled city. They were constructed in 1392, to defend the main entrance to Valencia. In 1865 the walls were demolished, but the Towers of Serrano and Quart were respected.

7 BIOPARC Valencia, located in the Jardín del Turia, ancient river bed of the Turia's river, it's a zoo of new generation conceived under the philosophy of zoo-immersion. Having covered more than m2, the visitor feels completely immersed in the wild habitats that here enjoy themselves: the Savanna, Madagascar and Equatorial Africa, being able to enjoy, practically without barriers, spectacular sceneries in which different species coexist such and since they would do it in the nature. MUSEUM BELLAS ARTES SAN PIO V Located in a Baroque building recently renovated in its entirety, the Fine Arts Museum San Pio V is one of the most outstanding painting archives in Spain, renowned for its collections of primitive Valencian painters, although there are also works by El Greco, Velázquez, Murillo and Goya. The Fine Arts Museum also exhibits sculptures by Mariano Benlliure and some interesting archeological pieces. MUSEUM CERAMICA The National Ceramics Museum Gonzalez Marti is housed in a palace that dates from the 15th century and was refurbished in 1740 on rococo style with a magnificent alabaster entrance. Inside, you can find the 18th century carriages, the 19th century rooms, medieval ceramics and an important collection of tiles made in the Royal Ceramics Factory in Alcora. LA ALBUFERA NATURE PARK Lying to the south of the city of Valencia, the Albufera freshwater lagoon is one of the most important nature areas in the Land of Valencia. A slim strip of coastline protects it from the sea, and on this strip of land, sand dunes have formed, plus a curious Mediterranean pine forest growing in sandy soil with rich shrubbery. This area is called the Devesa del Saler, a word derived from a kind of pastureland. Three canals (two natural and a third man-made), connect the lagoon and surrounding wetlands with the sea, and each has its own characteristic flora and fauna. JARDIN DEL TURIA El Jardin del Turia is a public urban park of 110 ha, located in the city of Valencia. This park is one of the most visited of Valencia and Spain. The garden clearly the largest city in Spain. The Garden through the city from almost the port, more specifically from the City of Arts and Sciences to a new home Bioparc where Valencia Zoo.

8 FESTIVALS THE FALLAS IN VALENCIA Lights, gunpowder, monuments, flowers, traditional costumes, music, satire, emotions and a great deal of fun are the ingredients of a unique cocktail known as the Fallas Fiestas. In the middle of the Mediterranean coast, Valencia city, celebrates each year the final days of the winter and the arrival of spring with spectacular fires and pyrotechnics. From March 15 to 19, Valencia is given over to a carnival of bonfires, fiesta, fireworks and a healthy dose of satire known as Las Fallas. TOMATINA DE BUÑOL Every year, on the last Wednesday of August more than 40,000 people, hungry for fun and fiesta, get roped into tomato throwing in the Tomatina de Buñol, a friendly battle in which more than 110 tons of ripe tomatoes fly through the air. Come and enjoy a fiesta that is unique in the world with a curious protagonist that leaves everything red and that cleans and disinfects: the tomato. THE COMUNITAT VALENCIANA RICARDO TORMO CIRCUIT The Circuit s latest technical advances and facilities have been conceived under the premise of functionality and innovation. Its flawless design, which follows the American canon circuit, enables full visibility of the route, allowing the audience to track, from its central position, all the action as it happens throughout the race. EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX FORMULA ONE F1 Can you feel the vibrations? The most exciting competition on the international scene is getting underway: the European Formula 1 Grand Prix. VALENCIA TENNIS OPEN The spectacular Agora in the City of Arts and Sciences will be hosting the Valencia Open ATP 500 for another year, giving the Region of Valencia another date with top-level tennis. The Valencia Tennis Open is the only category 500 tournament in Spain played indoors on a fast surface.
