Spanish2Enjoy is completely dedicated to the promotion and organization of language INFORMACIÓN programmes for foreign students both in Spain and abroad. Ever since Spanish2Enjoy was set up, our aim is to offer a personalized advisory service, meeting the individual needs and interests of each of our students. Many foreign students have trusted us in the organization of their language programmes in Spain. Valencia Summer Camp is designed for international students aged from 13 to 17 who want to improve their Spanish language while getting to know the Spanish lifestyle and culture. The program will take place in a school in Valencia, one of the most attractive cities in Spain for its Mediterranean climate and the amount of different attractions. This programme combines the experience of family immersion and language lessons. International students will stay at Spanish families, have language classes divided by language skills and a full program of activities. In short, this is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Spanish world.

3 VALENCIA SUMMER CAMP OBJECTIVES The objectives reflect the procedures that are going to be performed during the Summer Camp. They are work commitments we propose and which are agreed on with the rest of the team. Therefore, these are the main targets we set for our Valencia Summer Camp: Learn Spanish or English in a friendly and multicultural environment. Reinforce communication and cooperation among young people, creating an atmosphere of coexistence and integration for all. Encourage participation for the autonomy of students while group cohesion. Promote Spanish culture through activities and excursions. Psychomotor development issues through sports and workshops. Making Valencia Summer Camp an experience full of fun and learning. STUDENTS The programme is aimed at young people from 13 to 17 years old who have at least a basic knowledge of Spanish or English. The students will be from Spain and abroad. RATIO OF PARTICIPANTS The ratio of participants is 12 students per class during the language lessons and 15 with a group leader for the activities. All the programme is supervised by a coordinator. DATES Valencia Summer Camp is offered to students for weeks, having a total of 3 different shifts that can be made in full and with a minimum of two weeks. The first day of Summer Camp is the 4th of July and the last on the 29th. The days of arrival can be on Sundays 3, 10 or 17 of July and departures on Saturday 16, 23 and 30 of July respectively. The cost of the insurance is included in the price at the end of this document.

4 LESSONS LANGUAGE LESSONS The language lessons are offered for Spanish and English. They will have 18 lessons per week of 45 minutes. To ensure optimal learning, each class will have a maximum of 12 students, with an average of In Spanish we will offer four levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. on the other hand, there will be 3 levels for English as it will be more unified. Classes are divided by language skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading comprehension) plus one hour of culture. Each teacher will teach a skill level and will change in each lesson. METHODOLOGY Learn Spanish easily and quickly, getting the best results and the most pleasant way. Communicative Method: highly interactive and dynamic method, proven to be effective in the development of student's communication skills. Conversational Approach: in most of our courses listening & speaking skills are given precedence over reading & writing skills. Exceptions are our DELE Exam course and other Personalized Spanish Courses. Levels & Syllabus: reliable and objective level system to measure student's linguistic ability. Detailed syllabus for each course designed under the guidelines of the Common European Framework for Languages. Spanish Teachers: All are highly professional, experienced, trained & passionate. 5 ACTIVITIES ACTIVITIES The activities in Valencia Summer Camp will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm. On Friday, there will be a day trip from 10am to 5pm. There will be groups of maximum 15 students of the same age. Each group will participate in activities with their group leader, this way there will be a different activity or excursion every day. Activities: Team Building: Capture the Flag, treasure hunts, games, Quiz, beach Sports: Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Salsa, Yoga, Hip-hop Workshops: DIY, photography, Valencian paella, drama... Cultural visits: Oceanográfic, science museum, history museum valencia... Night: Disco, cinema, karaoke, BBQ, costume parties... Full day excursion: Lake Anna, Calpe and Guadalest, Sagunto, Cullera... *For Closed Groups we offer the possibility of full-day excursions during the weekend with extra cost. All group leaders of the Valencia Summer Camp have the "Leisure Instructor Certificate" besides having years of experience working with teenagers. MATERIAL FOR ACTIVITIES Spanish2Enjoy provide the material for all activities, taking responsibility for its use and maintenance. 7 ACCOMMODATION During the program, the participating students will stay in a Host family. Spanish families are known for their hospitality, sense of humour and their lifestyle. The intimate atmosphere of living with a Spanish family, encourages the use of language naturally. All of our families have been hand selected and visited by a member of our staff. They are required to complete the Host Family Application process, which includes being screened and vetted by ACCOMODATION Spanish2Enjoy. Host Families are responsible for providing three meals per day, the student s own bed, and love and guidance. Homes are selected on the basis of a friendly atmosphere, good food and clean comfortable surroundings. A maximum of 2 students of the same mother tongue is placed with each family. International student will have his own room or he/she will share with the family s son/daughter or with the others international students. It could be two students of the same mother tongue under request.

8 VALENCIA VALENCIA Valencia can be a city of clichés: the light, the moon, the fireworks, the paella, the flowers, the Fallas... they are keys which attempt to explain what words cannot. It is necessary to visit and get to know Valencia to verify that centenary traditions live together with modernity; that sea and city are compatible; that the green colour of farms can be kept together with a modernn urban scheme; that Valencia is unique at night and during the day. But the capital of the river Turia is more than that. In addition to the innumerable attractions of the city, there are now a series of classy new developments such as the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) and the Museo Príncipe Felipe (Prince Philip Museum) which are all linked to culture. Valencia really has it all, and will continue modernising and decorating its impressive presentation. In addition to this, Valencia is also universally known for its Mediterranian climate and its urban and popular beaches: Malvarrosa, Cabañal and Las Arenas. The beach itself has full facilities in addition to the wide range of bars, restaurants and leisure activities which transform the area into a hub of activity 24 hours a day in the summer months. To the south lies Pinedo, a quiet beach leading onto the beautiful, fine sandy beaches of El Saler and Devesa, sheltered from westerly winds by a strip of sand dunes and pine trees. They also have the great advantage of being situated in the Albufera Nature Reserve, one of the finest natural settings along this coastline. Besides swimming and sunbathing, the beaches of Valencia boast a wide variety of activities. Reasons to come to Valencia: The third largest metropolis in Spain. With more than inhabitants, Valencia offers its visitors unlimited kinds of services and tourist attractions. Privileged location and exceptional climate. Seated in the centre of the Mediterranean coastline, Valencia is also equidistant to the two main cities in Spain, Madrid and Barcelona. With an average annual temperature of 22ºC (71º F), it is possible to enjoy sunny days at its beautiful beaches all year round. A welcoming population. Valencian people are well-known for their open character as well as for giving a warm reception to tourists. They are strongly proud of their main festivity, Las Fallas, which they love to share with visitors. Home of Major Events. The city has a leading position in hosting many international sports competitions, such as Valencia Tennis Open 500, the America s Cup and F1 Grand Prix of Europe.
