4 Spread Financials option is available within the electronic credit file (ECF) report, providing easier financial performance analysis period-over-period. Here are some of the key features: Select to compare Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow or Financial Ratios Customize for your needs, compare year-over-year or quarter-over-quarter Review and analyze report results in format you prefer View variances by Percent or by Actual Values Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide

5 Customize the Financial Spreading, choosing the source of data, statement periods and data elements you want to compare. Select to Customize to open up your menu of options to create your financial spread analysis Choose your data source EDGAR for public companies, or D&B/ customer-provided for private Now select the periods and data elements you would like to compare Finally click the View Spreading button when you have finished to view results Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide 5

6 Over 70 new financial data elements and ratios are available for creating scorecards, filters, decisionmaking rules and credit limits. Begin at the Account Manager Admin tab within the Admin tab: Follow steps normally used for Build Account Score or Set Account Review Rules up to Add Target Profile Condition or Define [ ] Conditions, select category Business Financials Account Mgr Choose from the menu of ratios and data elements, clicking Add to the appropriate Conditions field Click Save to complete action Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide 6

7 Create custom filters to your needs using any of the over 70 financial data elements and ratios available in DNBi. Follow steps normally used to create filters, first selecting the Filters on the Companies tab click Create New Filter, select From Scratch, name Filter in the Create Filter field Select Business Financials Account Mgr as your category, then choose data elements to add to Conditions fields Click Save to complete action and save your custom filter Run the filter and see how many accounts meet the new criteria you created Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide 7

8 Custom filters you have created using any of the over 70 financial data elements and ratios can also be used in Portfolio Risk Manager to drill down deeper to understand results across all your accounts. Total Asset Total Asset Select the Portfolio Risk Manager tab, and click on Show Filter Options Pick the filter and any exclusions you would like to use for your drill down report, in this example Total Asset filter and no exclusions See an example of how your information presents on accounts with the total asset values specified by your custom filter Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide 8

9 70+ financial ratios and data elements can be used to create formulas unique to your business. When you build a custom calculation it will be incorporated into automated reviews and decision making. 10 Improved viewing features in the Company Financials tab and throughout DNBi transform data efficiently into meaningful business intelligence. Graphs automatically present at the top of every Financials report, providing a quick view of trends Click on Export icon to download data into Excel spreadsheet format, so you can conduct further analysis Right-click on ratio and data elements displaying in blue to view calculation formulas Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide 0

11 Set Alerts to activate when new EDGAR or D&B financial statements become available. To set up Alerts, go to the Monitoring tab and click on the Alert Options icon Select the New Fiscal Statements Received and New Interim Financial Statements Received boxes from the Alerts menu Select Include in boxes if you would also like to receive Alerts Financial Statement Data & Analysis Capabilities in DNBi Quick Start Guide

12 You may want to use the newer filtering and viewing options on the Monitoring tab to identify and review only the Alerts activated by newly available financial statements. 13 Use two efficient upload options to incorporate your customer-provided financial statement data into your DNBi database. Upload your financial statement data in Excel format directly to an Account or Application in the Financials tab. View in DNBi by clicking on Download Import financial statement data as part of your A/R import process. 14 Management options permit choosing statement source and age, and whether to use an interim or latest financial statement. Options are applied to scorecards, credit limit(s) and automated decisioning.
