1 ~Sudlow Intermediate School~ ~Home of the Tigers~ Mark your calendars! Sudlow office will be open 7:30-3:00 until June 14 th. We will be closed for summer break and then re-open the office on July 24 th at 7:30. I have 3 extra yearbooks to sell if you need one. They are $20. You can pay either with debit/credit card or cash only. Come in during office hours. NEW THIS YEAR: online registration! It s exciting news for Davenport Schools. No need to attend registration at school waiting in the long hot lines in the gym!! Register in the comfort of your home. You must have a parent portal account to do this. Contact coontsd@davenportschools.org to sign up for one. Simply sign on to your student s account; review and update your demographic info, pay service fees and purchase a year book. You can even put money in your student s lunch account. There also is a tab to view and print your student s schedule. Supply lists can be viewed on the district web-site and also the Sudlow web site. We will still have a traditional registration on July 31 st from noon-6:00. 7 th & 8 th grade schedules will be available then. Student enrollment forms will be pre-printed for you to review and make corrections if you cannot register on-line. (DO NOT PRINT AN ENROLLMENT FORM OFF AT HOME AND FILL IT IN) we will have them for you with your student s info already printed on them. Unpack your Backpack is scheduled for Thursday, August 8 th from 4:30-6:00. This is for students new to Sudlow and 6 th graders only. 7 th and 8 th graders can bring supplies the first day of school (please note that the supply list is for the entire year. No need to bring everything the first day) 6 th graders will receive their schedule on this night. First day of school is August 12 th, hour early dismissal both August 12 th & 13 th. Wednesday August 14 th will be a full day. Dismissal is at 3:40.

2 Are you on Facebook? So are the Sudlow Choirs! We are taking more steps to make sure you are kept up to date with everything that is going on with the Sudlow Intermediate Choirs. Click the link below and 'like' the page. From then on you will be notified of anything that goes on within the choirs. This page will be used primarily for notifying parents/students of any changes that are made to rehearsals, additional practices, concert dates and call time reminders, permission slip reminders, field trip bus ETA, new photos/videos posted of performances, and so much more! We are going to continue updating the current Vocal Music Webpage with the music calendar and what the make-up of all the ensembles are. Our YouTube account will also be the primary location where our videos will be posted, then linked to the Facebook page. So what are you waiting for...'like' us already. Cost: Ages: $50- Allows athletes to participate in any sport camp for the entire month of June. Cost also includes a camp T-shirt and water bottle. Incoming 3 rd graders- 8 th graders Note: Deadline for sign up is MAY 24 th. Purpose: Introduce Future Blue Devils to the fundamentals of various sports and build relationships with the Blue Devil Coaches and athletes. Cost: $50- Allows athletes to participate in any sport camp for the entire month of June. Cost also includes a camp T-shirt and water bottle. The camp will run from 8-4 Monday through Friday. The camp is located near downtown Moline. Space is limited, so call ext. 209 to register. Health Careers Adventure Camp For students entering 7 th & 8 th grade Monday June 10 through Friday June 14 St. Ambrose University Participants are introduced to a variety of health professions. Job shadow opportunities in different health care professions, disability awareness, & diversity training will also be part of the camp experience. The camp is open to any student entering 7 th or 8 th grade during Fall On-site supervision, t-shirt, team bag, daily snack & lunch, transportation to & from job shadow experience & program costs are included in the program fee. Cost for the program is $200 until May 15, 2013, $225 after that date. A limited number of scholarships are available at the discounted rate of $35 for students who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. Early application is encouraged.
