7 7. Indicates a common paper. NOTES TO 06 TIMETABLE. The time indicated on the Timetable includes: (i) Reading Time. (ii) 0 minutes Reading Time and 0 minutes to warm-up on the computer prior to the start of the examinations for Electronic Document Preparation and Management Papers and 3/. 3. Starting times for all centres within a territory are 09:00 hr and 3:00 hr. If at any centre the number of candidates is greater than can be accommodated in one session, the Local Registrar may arrange to administer the examination in two or more sessions, ensuring that suitable arrangements are made to preserve the integrity of the examinations. 4. Visual Arts: A common paper containing all options will be issued. Candidates will be required to choose two Production Papers from the Options below: (i) Drawing (ii) Painting and Mixed-media (iii) Graphic and Communication Design (iv) Printmaking (v) Textile Design and Manipulation (vi) Sculpture and Ceramics (vii) Leathercraft (viii) Fibre and Decorative Arts Candidates must select for the final examination those two options for which SBA assignments have been done. The Test Paper is to be handed to candidates on, 5 April. The examination must be completed during the period May. All of the Options are 6-hour papers and should be divided into two () 3-hour sessions with a break of not less than hour between sessions. These two sessions need not be held on the same day. All candidates will be required to submit a Reflective Journal. This must be submitted at the same time as the Production pieces. 5. French and Spanish Oral Examinations (Paper 3) in each territory will be conducted during the period 8 5 April in accordance with the Local Registrar s schedule. 6. All Paper examinations are multiple choice in format except those in Electronic Document Preparation and Management, English B, Music, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts.
8 8 7. The Practical Examination in Physical Education and Sport (Paper ) in each territory will be conducted during the period 5 April to 03 May in accordance with the Local Registrar s schedule. The Physical Education and Sport Paper examination will consist of a Multiple Choice component and a short essay-type component. 8. The Practical Examination in Music (Paper ) in each territory will be conducted during the period 0 - in accordance with the Local Registrar s schedule. For Music Paper, there will be a 0-minute break between Section I, and Sections II and III. Both papers for Music Paper are combined Question Paper/Answer Booklets. 9. Attention is drawn to the rule that silent non-programmable scientific calculators may be used in the following examinations: Additional Mathematics Agricultural Science DA Papers and 3 Agricultural Science SA Paper only Building Technology: Construction Building Technology: Woods Chemistry Economics Electrical and Electronic Technology Geography Integrated Science SA Mathematics - Paper only Mechanical Engineering Technology Office Administration Papers and 3/ Physics Principles of Accounts Principles of Business Paper 3/ only Technical Drawing Papers and 3 0. The use of geometry sets (mathematical instruments) is permitted in Biology Paper, Geography Papers, and 3/ and Mathematics Paper.. Information Technology Paper : this subject will be offered at General Proficiency level only. It is not a practical examination - no computer workstations will be required. The Paper will be offered in the multiple choice format.. The Alternative Paper (3/) to SBA in Biology, Chemistry and Physics IS a practical examination lab facilities will be required. 3. The Alternative Paper (3/) to SBA in Integrated Science is NOT a practical examination lab facilities will NOT be required. 4. Candidates taking the Technical Drawing Paper 3, CAD Option, on 05 May should be given additional time for printing at the end of the examination. 5. Candidates taking the Electronic Document Preparation and Management Papers
9 9 and 3/ on 04 May and 03 June, respectively, should be given additional time for printing at the end of the examination. 6. Candidates are advised to take a ruler to the Integrated Science Paper 3/ examination as it may be required to answer some questions. 7. The Alternative Paper to SBA (Paper 3/), must be written by private candidates who opted not to complete the SBA assignments. Papers and 3/ must be written in the same session with a 5-minute break between them. Paper must be written before Paper 3/.
