2 TH A N N I V E R S A R Y Connect to an Extraordinary Market... IEA members represent the most sought-after target demographic: youngsters aged Over 80% of them are female and many reside in households with more than,000 in annual income. Of course, this group is supported by parents, families and friends. The IEA specializes in building custom sponsorship and promotional packages to meet the needs of our sponsors and advertisers. Founded in 2002, the Interscholastic Equestrian Association includes more than 12,500 middle and high school riders across the United States. Available to public or private schools and barn teams, there is no need for any rider to own a horse. The IEA provides a mount and tack to each participant at every event. IEA riders compete in Hunt Seat and Western disciplines in unfamiliar tack on unfamiliar mounts. On show days, each rider draws a horse and enters the show arena with little or no opportunity to familiarize themselves with their horse. This format equalizes competition variables and tests the horsemanship of the contestants and provides horse-showing opportunities to a wide range of individuals. Beginning in September of each year, individuals and teams contend in multiple competitions during the regular season. Earning points during the regular season allows riders/teams to qualify for Regional and finals. The top riders and teams can advance to the National Finals, held in late spring each year. Points are tracked for individual rider accomplishments AND for overall team accomplishments. The unique team aspect of the IEA provides riders and barns the opportunity to work together as a team, and build lasting friendships.
